    Best sites for both shore diving & snorkeling, something for the whole family. Plus all 4 have great restaurants: 1) Eden Rock 2) Lighthouse Point 3) Turtle Reef 4) Cobalt Coast (Now called Nova)

    I have the same ARB slide and (also have many other ARB products). I love all of them except for the slide. I find the design to be subpar though bomb proof. I think if I lived in Aussie land and had a fridge in a pickup bed beating thousands of kilometers on 😢corrugated outback roads this product would stand up. Though it’s completely useless for the American market. ARB please redesign your for slides for American use. Full extension or better ball bearing roller extensions with lockouts. I also consider tilt function.

    Overpriced tourist trap and is boring as hell. Water is great, but its the same water and views as many other islands that are far cheaper. I'd rather sit on Miami Beach than return to Grand Cayman.

    Great video! What is the entrance area in your video at 2:07? I may have to call but do you know if the Marriot allows non guests to access their outside bar from the beach? We are cruising and your mention of snorkeling intrigued me to maybe take a cab there. Thanks!

    I'm currently in a similar situation, and wondering if you know how far out the incorrect slide extended in inches? I'm looking at another slide that extends 30", and the fridge I am looking for is also 30-28" in length. I think based on this, it will slide out far enough to work.

    Great video. We liked Peppers and Tillies but unfortunately Calypso was closed for slow season (we are on GC right now) . It has been one of our best trips anywhere and not only for the pristine beaches. The island is clean, safe and the people are the most kind and welcoming we’ve ever encountered, anywhere. We are already planning next years dates 💙

    My girlfriend (now fiancé as of 2 days ago!) and I are currently in Grand Cayman and you have been our personal travel guide. I’ve been waiting for dinner at Calypso since we first found this video months ago, and I have to say, your recommendation could not have been better. I had to come straight here on my phone to comment that the seafood rundown was indeed a 10/10! Our sticky toffee pudding was just ordered, can’t wait!

    So where on 7 Mile Beach do you recommend to go when our cruise docks there for the day.

  • @ScruffyGolden
    @ScruffyGolden Жыл бұрын

    Hello. It depends on what you enjoy and how much time you have. From a time perspective, shopping and museums will be the closest and easiest to access, with time left for hanging out on the beach. If I wanted to do something "Caymanian", I would go to the Turtle Centre and spend a little time with the dolphins across the street. If I had a whole day, I would book a boat trip with George's Watersports and take in the stingrays and starfish. If I was in port overnight, I would do the bioluminescence tour and dinner at Calypso's. Both of those require a taxi, but are doable in that time frame. Hope that helps!

    I have a question about what you said at 11:02. You said you wouldn't try this if you're trying to get Starlink in your house because you may not have coverage. I'm looking at the availability map and I am RIGHT between two availability spots, but my particular city is waitlisted. Wouldn't that mean satellites are nearby? And if so, could I activate the service at the nearby city and then drive the satellite back over to my house? It seemed like that was the whole point of this video, but then you threw a little curveball there at the end haha. Let me know! Rob

  • @ScruffyGolden
    @ScruffyGolden Жыл бұрын

    Hi Rob. It can be confusing, for sure. To order the dish as a first time Starlink user, you have to find a place to register an address. This can be your house, or it can be somewhere else. Once you have the dish, you are able to move the dish to other locations within certain restrictions. At the time this video was made, it could be WAY harder to buy a dish in a location than to buy the dish elsewhere and MOVE into that location. Even though a lot has changed since the video was made, that is still the case. If you don't have satellites overhead, not amount of moving the dish around will help. However, if your house is waitlisted, all you know for certain is that Starlink won't let you order a dish against that address. There is no way to know if it will work buying the dish elsewhere and then using it at your house. My comment was saying that, I would not go through the act of buying elsewhere and moving to your house if your only intentions are to use it at your house. If you are mobile, there will be places you can use it for sure. In that case, if it works at your house, great, but I wouldn't count on it. Now Starlink has portability and some other things going so there aren't as many unknowns -- especially if you are willing to pay more to remove those unknowns. (e.g. portability costs more per month). Hope this helps.
