Don’t forget that he did not have control of the parliament because the PNCR and the AFC, collectively, had more votes than the Ramotar government. The PPPC government of Guyana also need to share the blame and neglect for the city, because they refuse to hire an Evaluator and have the buildings and land in Georgetown and every other town in Guyana evaluated, so that the correct rates and taxes from these buildings and land can be paid to the city council and Mayor which would give them money to do work for residents of the cities. Matter of fact, a lawsuit should be in filed in court against PPPC government for neglecting to do so. So, the same way that you want to blame city government, people can also blame the central government for refusing to do what is legally required by law of them to do. Ask, Jagdeo and President Ali why are they refusing to have all buildings and lands evaluated in Georgetown and other towns in Guyana, so they can pay their fair share of rates and taxes. Some people believe it is because they don’t want the city council and mayor receiving more money or revenue. So, President Ali and Jagdeo is not without blame, here. They, all, should stop playing politics and do what right and the justifiable things for people that are paying their taxes in these towns in Guyana.
