I’m still very proud of you Chris… lookin bk at this brought me to tears because I will always remember our fun childhood memories and that day when I heard u were in a car accident. But to still see you walk again and accomplish your goals was true motivation. I had to show my son this. So thanks always Chris for being a true childhood friend & a inspiration to me! Wishing you the best and many blessings!💙🙏🏽

TripleC- Crayz, Crazier & Cool I am sure you will be find. Take your necessary precautions, have someone with you & create a safety plan, such as the passenger is prepared to take over the wheel or intercede in pushing the brakes. A helpful viewer recently posted a link where you can purchase the hand controls.

You just need to find an area where you can simply practice like a large empty parking lot. Another option is enroll in a driving school to build confidence. I found driving again after losing my right leg is scary, but the more I drive the more confident I am becoming. Start with a simple short route and then drive further as you are comfortable. My late grandmother who had never driven a car until age 62 and able bodied did fine, but also knew her limitations as well but it gave her the independence she needed to stay in her country home after Grandpa died, otherwise she would have had to move to town. You will gain the confidence and do well

@chrismcclendon53858 жыл бұрын
Hello there, Already, I like your attitude. It is difficult for me to judge whether or not these particular hand controls will work for you. What makes them work for me regarding my grip and strength, is that my right hand tightens automatically (muscle tone) when I begin to utilize it. As far as my strength and my ability to push the hand controls for brakes and pull for gas, for me, it's somewhat easy. However, the more you drive the easier it gets. Stay motivated. Thanks for viewing.
