Awesome! This is a super fun game and so different depending upon who you are playing with. Everyone has a different strategy. We find ourselves thinking, "Okay, person A is super strategic, what were they thinking?". We enjoy it!

This looks like a really interesting game just from the boards, pieces, and cards. The smaller box game intrigues me as to whether it’s a stand-alone game or an expansion of the main game? I also want to thank you for adding your insights to games’ playability with regard to dexterity issues and color blindness. While I’m not color blind I do suffer greatly from dexterity issues. My gaming friends help out all the time, but your insights about dexterity issues and color blindness in a specific game let me know how much I can play myself!

Enclosure (the smaller box game) is a standalone game in the same universe as Biohack. but you can also use the components as a mini-expansion for Biohack as well

Yes, that's how I got the expansion. I also did a video unboxing of the expansion on this channel. I usually keep the expansions separate so someone just looking for the expansion doesn't have to watch the base game as well as so someone just interested in the base game is not overwhelmed!

Awesome video for a game that looks extremely fun! I always like your “real” unboxings so you’re seeing it for the very first time as we would. One feature you include that makes your videos unique are your observations about the game as it applies to people with color blindness and people with dexterity issues. Being disabled and having “dexterity issues” with my hands, both with shaking and with difficulty in picking up certain small pieces. Your observations are VERY helpful! One thing you said in passing that intrigued me was that the player boards are “dual layered” on both sides-this might be the first game I will be able to tuck my cards under my player board! Looks like a super fun game-can’t wait to try it!

I'm glad mentioning the ease of dexterity and color blindness is helpful! As it turns out, you're right - the double sided dual-layered boards do actually sit just a small amount off of the table and you can tuck cards easily. I think it is actually the wheel/cogs that are unique to each player board and the snap that holds that together that props the board up, but it works well. We play on a table that has a shiny surface and I've often considered getting a playmat to see if it would make things like tucking cards easier. Then I think maybe it would be annoying that now nothing will slide. I would like to try a solution like that to see if it's helpful. Ultimately, I suspect it would be better with some games while less so with others.

Hi - These were part of the original Kickstarter campaign - it was a stretch goal where you got a second set of unique dog scoring markers in each of the 4 player colors.

This was the original game, I backed it in October of 2021. I just looked at the reprint on Gamefound and I believe they are pretty much the same. I did get the sleeves and metal grudges which you see in the video. If I was going to order differently, I would have gotten the acrylic standees - it would have made it easier to see the board.

Our first play was not super fun, what we learned was that it is challenging for both sides and our subsequent plays have been far closer and more fun. I hope you like it too - we have a player in our group who really likes the hidden movement games and for everyone else to play co-op is a nice change. Enjoy!

Looks like a really different type of game, especially with the fast paced co-op play mode (although there sure were a lot of dragon meeples). But hey, the more people fighting together the easier!! Also the game board tiles were a really unique shape-wonder what type of board that will ultimately form? Another great video, can’t wait to find it and give it a play!

So far, the coop mode has kicked our butts! We have played 5-6 times and each time not been successful, but each play is very different so it stays interesting. Rolling dice for the dragons makes this part totally unpredictable, but you can count on there always being too many :) We are going to try playing competitive mode next time to see if it is easier to succeed.

That’s a great idea about cutting the teeth on the main boards-I’ve played and I’m always knocking my tracker and trying to remember where it was. Plus the two new nations look cool!

As you built up to opening Last Light I was expecting a Horror Game, but I was really excited to see a huge Space game (so wondering if it’s a combination of the two?) but it looks really intriguing, and the board looks like nothing I’ve ever seen! Really like the different size and color planets that sit on posts so they’re floating above the board (and was excited to see there were a whole lot of empty planet spaces on the insert-future expansion?). The cards look cool, the unique D6s look cool-so far on first looks I’m intrigued. Excited to play. Thanks as always for a true, honest unboxing video-I enjoy the fact that you’re looking at it for the first time as you show it to us for the first time. Keep the videos coming!

The planets in this game are really cool. I don't know why there are more planet spaces than planets -but an expansion is a good possibility! This is definitely not a horror game though the dark theme is nice! We had fun learning this game, our first big takeaway was we need to fight each other more or one person walks away with the game!

Agreed, the holographic cards are very cool - even better in person. The colors are also better in person, the board has really nice coloring and the magnetic bidding tokens and airships are such an amazing addition. They work really well when playing.

Cool! The pieces and storage tray really are AMAZING. This is a fun game - quick to learn so you can bring new people in without taking a ton of time explaining how it is played. Also, it's nice to have coop games sometimes too.

I’ve played the first game in this series (super fun by the way) and this looks really cool-very different from the other one gameplay wise, yet enough similarities in iconography and some of the cards that it will probably spark some memories of the first game. And you always show the interior of the box, and that is one amazing insert!! Looks like a lot of fun, another great video, and hope you don’t have to build an ark for all your games (that’s some rain!)

I love space themed games, and this one looks REALLY cool. It’s nice that it can be played both competitively and in co-op modes. Yes, it feels like a lot at first, but none of it is overly hard to learn - it's just that there are lots of simultaneous things going on. The nice thing is the player boards have dual-layered areas that really keep things in check.

It is a pretty fun game with a decent amount of variables that can change up the game so it doesn't feel overly repetitive. I was surprised by how challenging the game gets over time, you really have to be strategic about how you place cards or you will create a situation that is nearly impossible to continue to succeed. I like this about the game, but something to keep in mind when considering your gaming group.

Regarding the blue box you couldn’t figure out. The 2nd edition of pearlbrook came with “3D” signs and “3D” versions of the achievements. Those holes are in the blue box so you can store them without taking them apart.

What a cool unboxing video! Love your use of “pop-ups” to explain things that you didn’t know when you opened the box-nice to see someone “really” unboxing a game from tearing the plastic off the box, and not always knowing exactly what some pieces are on first look. So much better than the rehearsed unboxings where someone’s already gone through it, done all the reading and research, that come off so flat and unrealistic. At least with you I always know you’re seeing the insides of the box at the same time I am! Thanks!

Also, there's never a way to tell how nice the pieces are until they are in your hands so I try to cover the quality as well.

Yes, so the cards with the wheels are really great in person too. They are snug enough not to slip when you don't mean to change the score, but also fit well enough to easily be moved. So far we are super happy with the way these work.

We have not yet. So far we have played several times with 3 players each time. I can say even with 3 players there is a great natural tension created with moving between the boards and trying to play on the best spots because you choose your next location in order from left to right. Also, if a couple people play somewhere and block Sandra, she can end up on your board unexpectedly. Hope that helps!

The dual layer boards are nice… I did delicately spot super glue to make more uniform and sturdy. Little bit of DIY to finish off… the two fasteners not enough to keep bottoms and edges flush.

Good question. We honestly have not had any issues with the tokens, but we play this game probably about once per month. We also have both expansions and I ordered the extra tokens for the Herb Witches expansion. So, we have so many tokens LOL. I do store them in game trays so they are not rubbing against other items - just the same types of tokens. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but wanted to mention it. I have never really noticed feeling the graphics, so possibly there are different types of these upgraded tokens?

This video has piqued my interest in a game I’ve never even heard of before! It looks really beautiful, and I really enjoy coming along on your journey of discovery-from your actual unsealing of the shrink wrap, to the surprise and delight of each new part or piece, to your real-world trials and tribulations of trying to build some of these things (as someone who also knows defeat at the alien-origami that is often required to turn a flat sheet of cardboard into an incredibly cool car or dice tower!). Please keep making your videos, as I’ve found some really fun and beautiful games watching them!

As you built up to opening Last Light I was expecting a Horror Game, but I was really excited to see a huge Space game (so wondering if it’s a combination of the two?) but it looks really intriguing, and the board looks like nothing I’ve ever seen! Really like the different size and color planets that sit on posts so they’re floating above the board (and was excited to see there were a whole lot of empty planet spaces on the insert-future expansion?). The cards look cool, the unique D6s look cool-so far on first looks I’m intrigued. Excited to play. Thanks as always for a true, honest unboxing video-I enjoy the fact that you’re looking at it for the first time as you show it to us for the first time. Keep the videos coming!
The planets in this game are really cool. I don't know why there are more planet spaces than planets -but an expansion is a good possibility! This is definitely not a horror game though the dark theme is nice! We had fun learning this game, our first big takeaway was we need to fight each other more or one person walks away with the game!

Doing the unboxings is a great way to first connect with the game, so much of the time I can't quite figure out how stuff works, but it is because I really haven't seen all the parts. This is truly the only way I can give honest feedback on everything inside, it HAS to be a surprise!

That looks like a super cool game! Those holographic cards are amazing, and on a couple you showed it looked like you could actually see the star fall. This looks like a game where getting the Deluxe version is well worth the investment!
Agreed, the holographic cards are very cool - even better in person. The colors are also better in person, the board has really nice coloring and the magnetic bidding tokens and airships are such an amazing addition. They work really well when playing.
I should get my deluxe edition box in a few days! I ordered my box on Amazon. I’m so excited I can’t wait to play it. It seems so much fun.
Cool! The pieces and storage tray really are AMAZING. This is a fun game - quick to learn so you can bring new people in without taking a ton of time explaining how it is played. Also, it's nice to have coop games sometimes too.
I love Lost ruins of Arnak.. Still missing that one expansion but as I've heard it's good and with the campaign mode too, I'm sure I'm getting it.
It's one of my favorites too, I always come back to it. I played the journalist and really liked it. I was surprised by how much was in this expansion!
I’ve played the base game and it’s a ton of fun! That looks like a pretty good expansion, especially with the double-sided research track overlay, and then the campaign mode (can’t wait to find out what that’s all about!) the wooden circles and stickers go together. The other coins have the upgraded version in the collectors edition or it can be upgraded with the glimmer gold pack

I’ve played the first game in this series (super fun by the way) and this looks really cool-very different from the other one gameplay wise, yet enough similarities in iconography and some of the cards that it will probably spark some memories of the first game. And you always show the interior of the box, and that is one amazing insert!! Looks like a lot of fun, another great video, and hope you don’t have to build an ark for all your games (that’s some rain!)

I love space themed games, and this one looks REALLY cool. It’s nice that it can be played both competitively and in co-op modes. And I gotta say, watching your videos, definitely makes me want to spend the extra money and get the upgraded/deluxe edition of a game-the pieces and everything just looks so much nicer and like it will last for years of gaming. On first look, this game looks like it delivers a lot of game for your buck. Definitely seems like you’d need a bunch of those parts cops to keep everything organized while playing.
Yes, it feels like a lot at first, but none of it is overly hard to learn - it's just that there are lots of simultaneous things going on. The nice thing is the player boards have dual-layered areas that really keep things in check.
What a novel Halloween themed game-yet it looks fun enough to play all year!

It's a really cute game with a neat theme. So far I am 0/3, but we have had fun playing it each time. It also has the added benefit of 8 quick rounds, so it's super portable and is easy to get people to agree to play!

It really is, it goes super fast so it is one of those games you find yourself coming back to often.

It is a pretty fun game with a decent amount of variables that can change up the game so it doesn't feel overly repetitive. I was surprised by how challenging the game gets over time, you really have to be strategic about how you place cards or you will create a situation that is nearly impossible to continue to succeed. I like this about the game, but something to keep in mind when considering your gaming group.
Regarding the blue box you couldn’t figure out. The 2nd edition of pearlbrook came with “3D” signs and “3D” versions of the achievements. Those holes are in the blue box so you can store them without taking them apart.

What a cool unboxing video! Love your use of “pop-ups” to explain things that you didn’t know when you opened the box-nice to see someone “really” unboxing a game from tearing the plastic off the box, and not always knowing exactly what some pieces are on first look. So much better than the rehearsed unboxings where someone’s already gone through it, done all the reading and research, that come off so flat and unrealistic. At least with you I always know you’re seeing the insides of the box at the same time I am! Thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed the unboxing. I do try to look up the contents a little in advance, but if I haven't opened it, I haven't played it so much of it is a surprise to me too. Also, there's never a way to tell how nice the pieces are until they are in your hands so I try to cover the quality as well.
The art in this game looks really cool, and those double-sided cards with the score-wheels built in look like a fantastic game mechanic (especially for someone like me who has trouble keeping track of lots of things in games!). Plus what a killer box/insert! Can’t wait to see part 2, The Expansion!! Awesome video!
Yes, so the cards with the wheels are really great in person too. They are snug enough not to slip when you don't mean to change the score, but also fit well enough to easily be moved. So far we are super happy with the way these work.

We have not yet. So far we have played several times with 3 players each time. I can say even with 3 players there is a great natural tension created with moving between the boards and trying to play on the best spots because you choose your next location in order from left to right. Also, if a couple people play somewhere and block Sandra, she can end up on your board unexpectedly. Hope that helps!

This is a pretty fun game to play, we have been enjoying it. So it turns out the extra boards are not extra, they are there for creating the dual-layered boards. I just didn't realize this until after I finished the original unboxing video.
The dual layer boards are nice… I did delicately spot super glue to make more uniform and sturdy. Little bit of DIY to finish off… the two fasteners not enough to keep bottoms and edges flush.
Hey there! Just wondering, after a year from this video, how are the prints holding up for the tokens? I've seen some pics online about how the graphics started rubbing off over time. Any thoughts? Thanks :D
Good question. We honestly have not had any issues with the tokens, but we play this game probably about once per month. We also have both expansions and I ordered the extra tokens for the Herb Witches expansion. So, we have so many tokens LOL. I do store them in game trays so they are not rubbing against other items - just the same types of tokens. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but wanted to mention it. I have never really noticed feeling the graphics, so possibly there are different types of these upgraded tokens?

This video has piqued my interest in a game I’ve never even heard of before! It looks really beautiful, and I really enjoy coming along on your journey of discovery-from your actual unsealing of the shrink wrap, to the surprise and delight of each new part or piece, to your real-world trials and tribulations of trying to build some of these things (as someone who also knows defeat at the alien-origami that is often required to turn a flat sheet of cardboard into an incredibly cool car or dice tower!). Please keep making your videos, as I’ve found some really fun and beautiful games watching them!

Yes, I was definitely surprised by the size of the rulebook. On the contrary, the Newleaf expansion looks more like what you would expect from an expansion. I'm hoping to learn both of these over the holidays!
