    This is easier than nitric and AR?

    Cover parts with HCL, add 1 cup of sulphuric acid, and a tablespoon of sodium nitrate. It will strip all the gold too. But after gold goes into solution, decant and denox. Or else it will continue to eat into base metals and send them into solution too. After your smb drop, refine again with poormans AR. It's all cheaper than goldex. It may not be as easy, but it's cheap and fast.

    Wahoo awesome video. I have been collecting these over the past couple of months. In the process of building a ball mill.

  • @BullProspecting
    @BullProspecting4 ай бұрын

    A ball mill is definitely the way to go! I had one a long time ago that I made out of a old propane tank. My design was flawed back then and with work starting I didn't have time to refine it. One of these days I'll build another one! My biggest problem was trying to find the steel balls needed. I'm looking for some smaller steel balls for my tumbler but haven't been able to find any.. Thank you so much for commenting! I used a 4 wheel Dolly. Flipped it upside-down with the wheels facing up. Then I put a screw in each wheel so they would not move. Then I needed to make a track along the outside of the tank so the wheels would stay in the channel. Then I used a old serpentine belt from my truck. The belt went around the entire tank. The belt went downwards in the center of the dolly & hook up to a huge drill i had. Hopefully some of this information was helpful!

    Since the slimes are of near infinite surface area, wouldn't it be best to do a nitric wash to purify the gold before melting?

  • @readoryx373
    @readoryx3734 ай бұрын

    I have caught much more stockpot oxides by simmering in batches and allowing the oxides to join and fall, then decanting and then pouring the thicker sludge through the filter. The filter gets stuck more easily with thin liquid than thick liquid, go figure
