Color Guard Academy

Color Guard Academy

Welcome to Color Guard Academy. I’m Bryanna, and I’ve been a color guard instructor for over 10 years with middle school, high school, and college color guards. I have had the privilege to learn from some amazing instructors and fellow color guard members who have all influenced my technique and choreography style. However, I know that many band programs do not have the budget to hire full time (or even part time) guard instructors. Part of the reason I decided to create this channel is for it to serve as a resource for color guards without an instructor. In addition, this channel is meant to provide beginners with a way to learn color guard at home, give veteran performers a tool to perfect and grow their technique, and provide a reference of basic skills and exercises for instructors. The art of color guard is an amazing gift to the world, and I hope to inspire and share my passion with others through this channel.

Cool names! Many instructors have different names for the same move. Usually each instructor has his or her own unique set of terminology that is important for each guard to know and understand. 😉
