    Comments are freakin completely dis railed but liked the vid, the bike and your track!! Nice work man!! And just to join in the child like argument varg is cool also not built to be green. And if you tell me youll laugh at me at the track while the varg is charging fool wtf makes you think people only got one bike.. lol but seriously that would be my argument why can’t i have and enjoy both electric and gas 🤷‍♂️ lighten the fuck up and enjoy whats around you. Have experiences just because and stop being a little biatch. Lol

    Are you still using the stock 46-tooth sprocket? How significant is the power loss on the low end with the 18/21 setup? I just bought a set an hour ago. I'll be running Shinko 244's with a 3.5" 18" in the rear and a 3.0" 21" up front. For now, I'll stick with the stock sprocket. I hope I won't be too disappointed, if at all. We ride mostly fire-roads/single track. One more question, what about top-end?

  • @y2k1307
    @y2k13072 күн бұрын

    After watching more of the video and seeing you hold it wide open while climbing on what doesn’t seem like a very steep hill, it looks like there might be a significant power loss with the larger wheels and tires. Hope i didn't make a mistake...

  • @mxgryan
    @mxgryanКүн бұрын

    Yeah stock sprocket. The low end punch loss is noticeable, but not tragic. I'm also 220lbs. I didn't notice any top end difference. Overall thr 21 and 18 were a huge upgrade, I think you will be fine. That hill in the video is insanely steeper than it looks.

    Those DR650s won’t need another meal for awhile. You all definitely let them eat! Maybe I should put some More aggressive tires back on the 650 and stop grabbing the 350 on every dirt trip. Maybe I just sucked at riding back then. Lol

    I was nervous about it, but ultimately super glad we went with the DRs. There's something fun about tying to navigate these obstacles on bikes that weren't made for it. I think this route would have been a blast on an XR650L or R as well.

    I literally found out about this a week ago. About 3 weeks ago, my Talaria Sting R electric motors rear tire went flat. Found out the stem valve literally ripped off the tire. After watching a video on replacing the tube. The gentleman mentioned not tightening the stem nut to tire. It's crazy because the Talaria Sting R is ships stock with the nut tight to the tire. Now I know 😂

    @RidinDirty864 күн бұрын

    You guys killed it! So cool to see the DRs eat like that. I can only imagine how much you two were struggling during those rocky sections. Are you on the stock suspensions? On another note, I hit that last hill as the last rider of the day and it was like a pottery class. Extremely slick to the point that we had to drag my 350 and that 1200gs up the hill. It looked much better on your video. I was waiting to see an extreme struggle on that hill, but it looks like it hadn’t been eaten up yet. I’m starting to understand why lots of riders like to hit the trails as soon as they open.

  • @mxgryan
    @mxgryan3 күн бұрын

    Thanks dude! Blue DR is bone stock suspension, hasn't even been serviced in years. White DR I recently serviced and did heavier springs on the front, revalved and re sprung the rear shock. Superview definitely makes the hills not look as bad. I got cross rutted on that hill and fell over, when I got back up and started my rear tire packed up...hard to tell on the video but I was just spinning my way up it! Lol

    You can find anything from the $10,000 now Ken Kaplan the whole United States and bought every 500 that he could he has more 500 cc Honda or whatever f****** in his museum than anywhere on the planet I guess now and has raised the price. A f****** 500cc rat is 5600 bucks 11 months ago and said that you're f****** crazy. But the fact of the matter is if you want a really nice Honda CR500 dig deep and take out a f******bone from the back AJ Wagner Honda 500 you can get it put in a 250 chassis or a 450 chassis takes about 6 months cuz they order the chassis from Honda you can get it stamped for on-road use if you believe that and you have american-made Honda CR500 engine spell 30 grand but that's the best f****** bike you can get plus it's like an American made Honda don't get no better than that
