Buglife is the only organisation in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates. We're actively working to save Britain’s rarest little animals, everything from bees to beetles, worms to woodlice and jumping spiders to jellyfish.
Invertebrates are vitally important to a healthy planet - humans and other life forms could not survive without them. The food we eat, the fish we catch, the birds we see, the flowers we smell and the hum of life we hear, simply would not exist without bugs. Invertebrates underpin life on earth and without them the world’s ecosystems would collapse.
‘If we and the rest of the back-boned animals were to disappear overnight, the rest of the world would get on pretty well. But if the invertebrates were to disappear, the world's ecosystems would collapse.’ Sir David Attenborough

I had to share this with 2 Amazing people on Facebook, Tarantula Kat and Tarantula Cribs. Especially Tarantula Kat, she Lives the black velvet spiders, and I know she'll Love this species as well. I know I do, Amazingly Beautiful ♥️🤗🕸️🕷️🕸️🤗♥️ Thank you So much for sharing this.....♥️🤗🕸️🕷️🕸️🤗♥️
I enjoyed this I've never seen someone become emotional about a spider. Are they harmful to humans?
I didn't know they exist , they are beautiful. AIso I wonder how many micro animals would be killed from people walking on a grassy patch of ground daily over the summer.✌️
3:25 aww look at her lil eyes!
It's funny how this is a life that should be cherished but a baby at 6 7 or 8 months in the womb now can be chopped up in a little pieces and called healthcare
Demagoguery is rotting your brain, Jason. Beware
Fantastic discovery. _I only question "Thanks to Heroic Conservation Efforts" and the little look away face expression to drive it home._
GREAT CONTENT!!!
Beautiful spider looks like it could bite hard with those fangs
Those are some really cute little spiders
Absolutely loved them! Both sexes are so beautiful. Thank you for helping them survive & thrive!!
Is it a type of jumping spider? Gorgeous! Wonderful video
I love how shes like "can i go now ? No ? Okay."
👟💥🕷️ Oops, I extincted it
Omg i just found this chanel by mistake and now i love it
I asume that its non venomous
These gorgeous spiders are responsible for ridding me of my spider fear! But I had no idea they were found in England, amazing. I've only been aware of the Gandanameno from Africa and the ones in Greece. The more the better far as I'm concerned! What an amazing person this man is to be breeding them in captivity and then setting them back into the wild. How can you not fall in love with those faces? I'm feeling emotional now. Thank you so much! 💖💖
Amazing, thank you for sharing!
On 28 April 2024 I found a male of a ladybird in Algeria. It is amazing
You mean ladyboy spider

I've seen a male of these species ONCE in my entire life by accident for like 15 seconds. Never again before or after that.
Don't worry they only stood on half of them they will bounce back
Ahhhhmazing work guys! I love spiders 😲😍
I remember this spider I got bit by it
... The Denim Shirt Is the Uniform Of the Ladybird Spider Hunters.. Very Camouflagey if I may Say if You're A Cloud Titter! Titter! 🐞 🕷️.. Greetings from Bradford West Yorkshire 🏴🥂🌄🌄🌄
Really great video, super informative and non-overwhelming! Thanks Craig
We found this spider here living in Greece (syros). We just found this video when we were looking up info on it. Grateful for programs like this to help educate us and our kids.
Mayfly nymph larva 🤘
Just been on a walk & seen at least 10 of them. Not sure which kind in particular but there were lots, they all seemed to be digging small holes in the grass. Never seen or heard of these in my life until today!
I'm going to try attracting carrion beetles to my garden with some offal. Interestingly, last year I spotted my first rose chafer on an overripe fig, I was beside myself !!!
I'd be interested to know how the spider site is going in 2024, is the colony thriving. Thanks
A heartwarming video, well done to all the conservationists, land owners etc who are working on this.
Brilliant message, I have a passion for insects, particularly beetles, it's amazing how much you can spot when you take the time to look properly, , nature is so giving, it's time to give something back. I'm rewilding our garden, the results have been very rewarding.🌲🌲
A great message. I'm rewilding more of our country garden, the number of insects last year was quite staggering, particularly on the wild ox eye daisies. We've had oil beetles and lesser stag beetles to name a few.
A really interesting video, many thanks for uploading this. I have re-ignited my entomology interest having recently bought a new microscope. I wondered which particular make/model of tarantula tweezers you used. Thanks for the enthusiasm in the film, I can't wait to view more of the buglife videos. Rich
Aww so beautiful 😍
This man has the best job in the world.
being a keeper of velvet spiders I would like to see a breeding program for this species, serval people breeding them
Super interesting! And I like the atmosphere in this documentary :).
Great stuff
Stunning
Is there any update to this?
Our #SaveSwanscombe Campaign is still ongoing, the last big update was in July 2023 (www.buglife.org.uk/campaigns/save-swanscombe-marshes/). In the meantime the petition is still open and the battle continues. Watch this space!
GreatJob Keeping them breeding. .God Bless you!~
I found a ladybug spider the other day! It was truly beautiful and the red was very vivid, what a shame I didn’t took a photo
you are a hero, Craig. Never stop pursuing the bug life, we need you. xoxo <3
What a great presentation! Im in the Scottish Borders and would love to help record beetles.
Super spider.😊👍🏻
I thought they were called velvet spiders
Jeez. I just searched “how to identify spiders” and I had to scroll thru nearly 100 videos, basically all were very short and focused on extermination or are like goofy news clips about widows or recluse. Almost NOTHING educational at all. That’s just pitiful
