Welcome to my KZread channel. This channel is dedicated to my coloring hobby and my passion for colored pencils, primarily Prismacolor. I have been passionately pursuing my love for coloring in the adult coloring community for a few years now. I have learned a lot along the way and would like to use this channel as a way to share my passion, skill, and love for this hobby with other colorists in the coloring community.

Beautiful, I watched it twice to pick up on everything while I was colouring the flower well done again!
That's the beauty of KZread...watch the tutorials as many times as you need to while following along. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video. Have fun coloring.
So beautiful and dimensional ❤ I really hope I don’t have this page done! For the elements around it, would you keep them lighter so the flower as whole pops off the page?? Thank you for this tutorial ❤
I would probably use contrasting colors so they stand apart from one another. I haven't decided yet though. I haven't finished his page yet so I'll need to think on it.
Phenomenal tutorial. I’ve been watching various coloring videos for months and yours beats them all!!! I’ve also been collecting supplies..well really hoarding supplies…lol. In that same amount of time I have never put pencil to paper! In a nut shell think, we’ll, I think I’m afraid. Sounds so silly from a 70 year old woman who has a degree in art and design. Any words of wisdom/encouragement? Thanks in advance Pamela❣️
I love your beginner videos. I been coloring for awhile now but I still feel like a newbie and I would like some advice for someone like me. I do know I need better coloring pencils and coloring supplies but not sure how to really get started
You can start with a budget set of pencils just to make sure you stick to the hobby long term. Maybe Arrtx pencils? I have lots of video tutorials that should be helpful to you on your coloring journal. I have a whole playlist for beginners and just released a new video today on how to color flowers for beginners. If you are looking for more beyond KZread, I do offer private coloring classes via Zoom or FaceTime. You can always email me at [email protected] for more information. I hope your weekend is wonderful. Happy Coloring!
excellent tutorial, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you! 😊
Love that colour wheel ☺☺
Gorgeous!!!! Thank you!
I love when you do tutorial and color along videos. You are such a great teacher and I always learn so much from you. Keep’em coming😊
Thank you so much.
So pretty, thank you!
Thank you! 😊
It's stunning!! 🥰
Thank you! 😊
@@PamelasPassionforPencils You are quite welcome! 🤗😍
I also have probs sharpening crayola. It is like the wood comes off in chunks and im a woodworker.
Hi you been go live like you us you must be working a lot
I feel I get more creative with them at this point in my journey. I find myself a bit nervous using the prismacolors I guess from them being a bit pricier and not wanting to waste them. One thing I wished they would do is make the names easier to read on the pencils.
Fantastic work as always. I also really enjoy the crayola videos.
Thank you very much!
There is now a set of 150 Crayola Colored Pencils. Any chance you may be including the 30 other colors to your chart? Thank you.
Hi Pamela😊, I just prescribed after watching a lot of your videos from about a year ago. I hope you will make videos more often again! You are an awesome teacher and artist! I am a beginner and have little faith in myself and tend to give up easily😐. But I am determined to learn to create beautiful pages😊. Thank you for teaching! Hugs🤗 Tamara
What products do you suggest a beginner to get?
I need these, they are so beautiful...my summer holiday just started, and I ended up ordering them to enjoy in my holiday ♥ By the way the peach rose looks like peach rose to me :D
Ive been trying to do skin and epic fails. My charchters turn out looking like they have yellow fever.😂
Oh No! I'm sure your coloring is beautiful. I have quite a few tutorials on how to color skin/portraits. Have fun learning!
There seem to be a few different brutfuner sets out there which is really confusing
Doesn't the wax in the pencil gum up the fineliner?
I want to buy a set of the cheap ones, but I have doubts between Brutfuner SQ or Kalour, but they don't have open stock, I have the set of 120 Polychromos and I love them but I find the range of colors very unbalanced, many grays, browns, and very few purples, and I love the purple one, I will buy some of from Prismacolor to complete my Polychromos now that I've found an online store that sells them in my country, Spain, where they don't exist and on Amazon the sets are very expensive, I've saw your videos about pastel tones and I want the Holbein, even if I buy them one by one, but for now I think I am going to buy the green box of Kalour Macaron because I want those softer but at the same time intense and beautiful colors and in the end I think it's the same manufacturer for different brands Brutfuner, Kalour, Castle Art... I am also looking forward to that book by Johanna Basford, although now I am obsessed with color by number books by George Toufexis from Creative Haven. Thank you for your videos, they are soooo helpful.
Such pretty leaves. Ty for the tips. I have four of her books. But not that one yet. ❤️☺️
Thank you so much. Her books are wonderful. Happy coloring!
Im starting back penciling and it seems i "let loose" more with the crayola. Seems i get a lil tight when i use my prismacolors lol. Prob with time ill get over that lil bump
These tips are so helpful for adding depth! Thank you❤
Agreed. Prismacolors are my spirit pencil. Since 1985.
Thank you so much.
Enjoying your technique.
That flower is beautiful.
Thank you!
Powder blue is a hot blue. Sky blue light is a cool blue
I love all these prisma pastel. I miss old deco orange, blue and acqua
❤️💙💜🧡❤️💜 Please do more videos with intense and a water brush 🥰
I have some more coming soon. ❤️
I really like my new Harmonious set. I like how they lay down even on the smooth swatch chart that came with the new set. Now I haven't blended them in a book or on a color page but absolutely love the colors. I'll definitely be getting the metallic set next.
Nothing is funner than trying new pencils. I recommend getting them all. 😂 I spend my entertainment money on pencils.
Would like to see you use gel pens more.
What colors did you use in the flower above the leaves? They’re different than the one to the right.
I have the Copic Ciao Coloured Markers 180 set ...yes it was crazy price ......not really used them ...had no time to color too busy .love your videos xxxxx
Thanks for keeping us beginners in mind!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. ❤️
You pick the perfect color combinations! I hope one day i can get close to that level.
Thank you! 😊
Just bought my 132 set for 90$ waiting for it to arrive
Their sargent pencils are decent.
Congratulations!!! I know the feeling. Enjoy them.😊😊😊😊
Pale yellow looks like an antique/burnished gold.
Definitely the key. Great info. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I've found that choosing the right color combinations is the big trick. And it's taking some experience and time. I was a charcoal colorist and I'm finding color to be amazing.
What glitter color pencils actually have glitter in them
I got big into art and pencils 35 yrs ago. Then I got bit by the music bug, mastered my craft, then something wonderful happened. I found my 30 yr old Berols one day cleaning house and..... fell in love all over again. Now I have the internet and amazing colonists at my fingertips to expedite the learning curve. Thank you for all the tips. You're a great teacher.
I just got a new 150 set and I had a colorless blender and an extra white in place of lilac and lavender
