This channel is about getting out and enjoying outdoor adventures. I will be sharing simple activities as well as longer more involved adventures which require specific gear and/or knowledge.
My goal is to encourage everyone to get out and try outdoor activities in whatever way works best for each individual.

I have a twig stove that I put my spirit burner in it has a grate on top that I can put a pot on, or a fry pan ; the sides of the stove brake the wind
nice video
I've used this oven for years (2000 purchase) and never had a stone in it. Never burned anything and baked stuff that drew a crowd! I love this Coleman oven. Just be careful of windy days. Amazon sells a cover that will help keep the temps even during wind.
I’ve been looking for a cover on Amazon. Do you have a brand name? Nothing comes up when I search…thx :)
@@RootlessWanderer Here's what I ordered. HOFENTIGU Camping Oven Cover Thermal Insulated Blanket Cover for Foldable Camp Oven- Quickly Heats Up and Maintains Temperature
I agree with your trip philosophy. Thanks for making the video
I put aluminum foil on the outside as a wrap to hold the heat better. I also noticed the the temp on thermometer is not what the inside is. Mine is off by 25 degrees.
May I ask which site this is? It looks spacious!
What I'd try is putting another foil tray on top of the food one .. only removing it the last few minutes to brown the food if needed..
What make is your stove please.. thanks..
A different kind of microphone would help solve your audio problem.
I just purchased this wood flame burner, haven’t tried it yet
Are you by chance a golf tournament announcer for TV. Cool oven.
Why r u whispering?
Don't want to wake the bears
I have a vintage coleman oven for yrs and absolutely LOVE IT.. we do have a motorhome .please don't kick me to hard...lol.. due to health reasons I can't tent/outside camp anymore... but I do not cook inside at all.. yes everything works inside.. but I refuse to use the appliances..everything is cooked outside.. we wouldn't have it any other way
I cook roast, ribs, chicken, everything in my coleman oven
Awesome video thank you for sharing!
Nice video, was the camp site free? Or did you have to pay a fee
Camping is free first come first serve!
Great video, I just ordered mine can’t wait to try it out!
Hey great video.... instead of bending the stand you could have flipped it over....
Great video! I have bought one but not used it yet. Good to see someone cook different things in it. All other videos I have seen are people doing cinnamon rolls. Thanks!
Got some great looking meals there. I also use a carbon felt cover for my Coleman folding oven and I have no problem keeping temperature in the oven. Always windy in my camping area so this cover idea works good. Also have a 10"x10-1/2" ceramic stone in the bottom. Takes a little longer to get to temp but it helps regulate the heat. I gotta try making a pizza now. Thanks.
My husband can’t understand why I need so many stoves. Actually, I don’t either as I’m a couch potato great grandma, lol! Have the Firebox Gen2 and 3 of the Firebox Scouts and many more different options that range in very large to very small. Bought the Ohuhu after watching Paleo Hiker MD’s video of cooking with pellets. Any way I have an obsession but I do want to eventually make videos that show homemade Mexican cooking in a very small scale. I don’t do hamburgers or hot dogs when we go camping either. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing. I found that my coleman oven also didn’t quite latch into each groove but I did have cut out carbon felt that sits on top to cover back and both sides. Worked great while at Yosemite as I made pizzas for our large family (I actually have 2 ovens and used a large cast iron dutch oven too).
Enjoyed the video! I am the same when it comes to getting gear just to have it. I like to have different options when going outdoors. I get it new gear is always fun to have.
Thanks for the video, I’m planning on going there next June. I’ll bring my head net!

I found a slightly used NEXT in 2018 and absolutely love it. I have been down rivers, streams and fishing in lakes. I am sure you will gat a lot of use out of yours.
Congrats on finding one! A buddy got really lucky and found one a few hours away early in 2020...before the covid shortage mess. Old Town was shut down (way too long I say) and now barely produces any canoes as they are chasing the kayak fishing crazy like so many others. My local dealer says "no idea" when an order for a Next or a Discovery 119 canoe would be filled. I've had an OT Pack boat for 15 years now...the grandfather to your Next boat. If buy another in a heartbeat if I could ever find one. My buddy uses his next as a race boat in river races. We use other solo and bigger canoes for fun and/or family on river trips and of course, I fish out of my Pack all the time. I'd probably buy a Next if I came across one. Enjoy yours!
I been thinking of getting one of these solo canoes and making a skulling rig and fishing the columbia river with it.
My son and I are doing an overnight trip this june in one of these.
Looks like a great trip. We are visting in September. Can't wait. Also want to visit those other places you mention at the end.

Hi there! We are definitely loving our geocaching hobby right now and the ease we have in finding less populated hikes not far from home. Nice to see your face, take care, and stay healthy. Thanks for sharing the video! I am going to catch up on the rest of your videos. Waving at you from a distance. Beth, Luke, Natalie, Matthew, & Kayla Warnes
Hey Jim, which Yurt were you in? Also, how was the star watching? I'm thinking of going in early march, so im curious.
Hey so do you have to reserve those. I’m new to backpacking and don’t understand how we pick or reserve a site. Is it first come first serve?
What did you do for accommodation?
I camped in different campgrounds. Because i use my bike as a shuttle, each day is a day hike. I hike back to the car, pick up my bike and drive back to the campground
