Any particular reason why you left out the wine drawer? It comes with a glass plated front in a stainless and white but it tends to darken the look. Any thoughts on that model?
This video was fantastic and extremely helpful, thank you! Please continue helping others by making more instructive videos as you are easy to understand and follow. 👌👍
Even if youre bending low to fill the detergent, its good for xx (48?) Loads. You shouldve mentioned that, and mentioned what the others offered in comparison. I. My slcase it doesntmatter because i make my own detergents in powder form.
Ive seen multiple reviews, even comparisons, physically showing Samsung Bespoke has the least lint issue of All the new combo washer dryers. Please show lore footage showing the actual lint experience, because you guys have a totally different experience.
I’m getting LG Studio double oven w steam assist. Very excited. I would love to see the steam in actual application, but some home chefs
Can you please tell us the exact make and model of fridge & wall oven in background?
I like this lighting rabble rouser. Hood manufacturers, listen up! If someone is paying a lot of money to upgrade, remodel, or build new, they should get effective, adequate, and pleasant looking lighting.
This was very useful- thank you. Lighting is so important and the appliance company websites don’t give you a way to evaluate this aspect of them on their hood pages.
Thanks for this one. Good topic with good helpful information . Cheers
Hello there love this videos ! I need help is KitchenAid a good brand for a refrigerator I had hear really good things but also very bad ones
Your channel is so helpful. Starting a kitchen remodel project and seriously considering Bosch appliances. Leaning towards the freestanding industrial induction range . Fingers crossed I can afford it!
Hey guys! Great video! Can you please tell me the specific models of the fridge and wall oven in the background? Thx!
Any thoughts on Bosch induction cooktops? We’re not sure if Wolf is worth the extra cost.
In my last home I replaced a 6mo old Samsung (couldn’t be repaired) with the kitchen-aid 604 series which I loved except that right around the recall for leaking heating elements, mine started leaking. Thankfully whirlpool covered it but it took several weeks for the repair. In my new home, I selected the Miele 7176(with AutoDos). I really miss the kitchen-aid. The Miele is awesome to load several place settings but anything else doesn’t fit well in the machine. I’ve tried several different ways to load it and followed Miele’s videos on how to load the dishwasher but any pots/pans/casserole dishes are always covered in water inside. The ProDry feature was better than my Miele on extra dry. As another commenter pointed out, the cycle times on the Miele are insanely long. The quick intense wash estimates 2h33m. It’s advertised as a 58m wash. Then I usually wait at least 30m before unloading because of the lackluster drying.
Those Aga’s check a lot of box for a lot of customers! Great info!
La Cornue proves beyond ahead
I'd love to get an Elise (marketed as the Falcon Elise in Australia) but for some reason the importer refuses to offer with an induction top. When I enquired, they said it was because inductions was a 'niche' market, and yet they off it in the much uglier and cheaper Classic model. Yeah, if I'm spending AUD 20K on a range, I reckon I'm already shopping in a niche market. It's offered in New Zealand, with which Australia shares an electrical standard, so it's not a compliance issue.
I am seriously considering doing the AGA Mercury 36" induction range...the cooktop seems a little weak...is that just in comparison to the gold standard in Wolf or is it generally just weaker? Will it work fine for most home cooks? I cook a lot so i have been leaning towards cooktops from Thermador or Wolf but being swayed by others to pick a range. I am lookign at AGA over Wolf mostly cause of aesthetics and size - i am doing a very contemporary kitchen and doing a range at all breaks with the look IMO but my appliance store reps (and real estate agent brother) are strongly recommending a range since i have chosen to go with only 24" wall oven vs the American standard of 30" ovens. The AGA is much more shallow - infact its the shallowest induction range i can find...can you think of a better one?
I have a SKS cooktop. I do I see how well my pan is work? I haven't found this feature yet. How do you get the AI working to tell you the unit is failing?
LG’s refrigerators are terrible because of the lawsuits and now forcing customers to use arbitration. How do you trust the SKS brand because of that?
What about that LG has bad reviews in their refrigerators? How can I trust their other appliances?
Do not buy any GE Cafe counter-depth refrigerator (or any GE product). GE thinks it is acceptable for a refrigerator to cool between 41-51 degrees! You have been warned.
There are like 30 different models and numbers, you guys went over 2, barely. Maybe retitle this.
Could you please give me some good recommendations for a shallow counter depth one? My counter is 25.25 inches. Thanks
Two compressors seems like one more to possibly break. Fridges and freezers have worked great for decades on one compressor.
It is a very fussy machine a total pain
Interesting that you say there is a lint issue with the Samsung. Ben's Appliance and Junk reviewed this and said that after 30 loads he didn't see as much lint as you're seeing.
It would be much more helpful to give a review of the “nuts and bolts” differences between the models ( reliability, warranty, layout, ease of use, advantages and disadvantages) instead of these superficial descriptions of which one looks pretty, the colors available and the overall “look” each model has. Sure would like to know functional details before dropping >10K on an appliance.
Thanks, this confirmed my decsion to go with a Bosch. Question: Is the door popping open for the dry cycle a problem for wood butcher block countertops?
The butcher block should be sealed. And to maintain it, you need to keep up on the seal every so often. I would just touch up around the lip where the dishwasher opens if you are worried, its easy to get food safe sealer at most big box stores or other online shops. Just rub it on, and done.
I can say that the Miele doesn’t pop open, it has a definite mechanism that opens it only after the steam has been converted to water. Some humidity is obviously released, but not anything excessive. It makes the dishes perfectly dry and room temperature by the time the cycle is over. A portion of the cycle time is still the drying phase as the excess moisture is condensed. Don’t buy anything but the best Miele. You will be glad you did every time you go in the kitchen.
See for me I was always deterred by Miele because they focus way too much on water saving and electric thus making there wash times way longer, Thermador (can’t stand them But the sapphire dishwasher is a champion) also being a Bosh company it has that zeolite drying feature and it works!
Miele has a “quick intense” cycle that takes 56 minutes. It works perfectly. It uses more water and power, but very litttle more. After having a Miele since 1997 I knew I would never be satisfied with anything else. I love it. Even the quick intense cycle only uses about 5 gallons. When you are going to be living with something every day it’s worth it to get the best.
Hi, what about a Viking . Need to get one .
The labor is not included in the later part of the warranty period. The rate is $20/6 minutes with a $160 initial fee. This is stupid.
Samsung? With all those bad reviews?
We have the dilema of fitting laundry into a very small space. It needs to be ventless and 110V. It seems the Miele compact stacking W/D is probably the best bet for space and reliability. I don't know I'd take the chance on this new combo. Thoughts? Love your videos - so helpful!
Why does it appear that Bosch refrigerators are extremely small compared to competitor’s?
Did you say that BlueStar is releasing a 36" induction??? Do you know when this will be released? And is BlueStar reliable? thank you :)
Great information for homeowners and renters. It's so hard, especially if you are buying online.
Any thoughts on the Fulgor Milano 48 inch? It looks great in person, but not a lot of info online about it.
Excellent information as always.
This video should be called "The only induction 48 inch ranges you can buy" instead 😂
Soooo, the element gets the water hot, but we can't use it for drying the dishes. Ridiculous. I remodeled my kitchen and would like to new matching appliances but the reviews for dishwashers and refrigerators are terrible. The Bosch is probably a great unit, but $1700 bucks for a dishwasher? Nope. I will keep my 18 year old Kenmore with it's 4,000 degree drying element until it dies, hahaha! Yes, my plastics come out dry.
I wish we would all stop saying monogram has stainless interior. I guess it does, but there is still white plastic also.. saying stainless interior makes people believe the entire interior is stainless…
Two compressors, twice the noise?
Or twice the potential for a breakdown....?
Is LG fridge still using the linear compressor?
What is the life expectancy of the LG linear compressor? LG literature says the linear compressor uses less energy and makes less noise than other compressors. The company offers a 10-year warranty and boasts online of 20-year durability. But Mouzari argues in the lawsuit that that linear compressor's actual lifespan is nowhere near 10 years, let alone 20.Feb 26, 2024

Is sub zero really that reliable. Word is the new generation of sub zero reliability has deteriorated.
Can I have an induction hob/range installed over a gas oven? I am planning my new kitchen and I want a 6-zone (90cm) induction cooktop and underneath it, I want to install a 90 cm gas oven. Is it safe? Thank you
I love the idea of proactive maintenance and service need detection. Why aren’t they all doing that?
Hey guys I need your advice, I’m thinking of getting the LRYKC2606S or the SRFVC2416S Is the SRFV worth the extra $1,300? Thank you in advance
I would have loved the LG Max but it’s not sold here (southern Nova Scotia) because there’s no one to service it.
The thing that’s frustrating about looking at LG fridges online is that they don’t list the width in the title link- just the capacity. I get it that they’re proud of their capacity, but when you’re looking to fit a fridge into an existing space, having to click all the way deep into every model’s full specs view to find that information without being able to filter on it is pretty frustrating.
