This is how figure belts should and MUST look like.
Mattel have a weird thing when it comes to the scale of their 1/12 figures. DC Universe Classics are spot-on, they're perfectly in scale with Marvel Legends. MOTU Classics are HUGE. They tower over 6" figures and are basically 7" scale even though Mattel tried to sell them as 6" (Super 7 now use the moulds and DO sell them as being 7" scale rather than 6"). WWE Elite Series are roughly in the middle, they're really still too tall for the rest of your 1/12 collection but unlike MOTU Classics you CAN just about fudge them in. Still, it's weird that they can't just stick to the same scale as Legends which have basically become the default for 1/12 action figures. Most people collecting that scale are likely to have a lot of Legends so are going to want their other figures to look good next to them.
How’s the collection all together?
That robe looks baller. I just ebay'd one for my Miz figure. Gonna call him Miz'ter Wonderful!
That's a fantastic gimmick idea for the Miz!!!
@@jon_finn I thought it was neat. It's just an old basic that I found at value village, but it's one with red attire and the wordplay seemed fitting.
I’m wondering how long it took for your belt to ship and where’d you get it from?
Just had to check my ebay history, but it only took 11 days from the date that I paid! Edit: it was on ebay. I had the filter set to only include results in my country because of shipping times. The filter didn't work well and ended up with me buying this from Pakistan.
That Joker laugh
"The Laugh" as many former co-workers have labelled it XD
Worth it, why waste money
I mean, I'm i love with it!
:D
One of favorite figures of the filmAtion cartoon. Never had him as a kid. The head sculpt and black eyes like u looking in this dark void. Love it lol good video sir by the way I have four of them lol
Thank you for your kind words! I'm jealous of your Zodac collection! He's such a unique entry to the MOTU property!
Zodac is still one of the most iconic characters of the Motu lore, l still prefer the lighter skin tone and the larger insignia on the armor. The larger insignia on the armor from the 80's enhances zodac much more. I thought maybe mattel could have done that for the origins zodac. He is still a great figure still for origins.
How much was it?
$100!
I love the duller Smoking Skull Belt that comes with the basic Stone Cold cause it feels better than the shinny one, I gave it a black wash and painted the smoke and put it on a leather strap and it looks so better than the elite Smoking Skull Belt
That sounds like it looks pretty badass! How did you attach the plates to the strap? Did you cut holes in the strap, or remove the little back hooks and use glue?
These belts look awesome and very life-like in design! I really like the AWA World title belt. This version of the belt debuted in 1987 during Nick Bockwinkel's last reign as AWA World champion in circa 1987, or (correct me if I'm wrong here) did it debut sometime after during Curt Henning's reign, from 1987 to May 1988? I do remember this belt being held by Larry Zbsyzko into 1990 before the AWA folded.
This AWA is one of my favorite in my collection, full size and toy size. I think Bockwinkel held this particular one, which was then won by Hennig (god I miss Hennig)!
These are not toys. They are works of art!
You aren't wrong! I like them as both :-D
the strap is thicker than the plates
Bahaha - and twice as stiff! 😅
How long did it take to arrive?
About 2 weeks!
I just got this belt a few days ago (although mines all good no silver), it was £99 and I’m really happy with it. For anyone on a budget I’d highly recommend it.
That's awesome dude! As long as you are happy with what you got, it's a hell of a deal!
One of my favorite figures. Wish more reviewers used the tab to open Origins figures.
This one is growing on my more than i ever expected! And that tab makes opening them 🤌🤌
@@jon_finn I prefer the more barbarian elements over the tech greeble. Too bad (ahem) the original toyline didn't get a version of this incarnation.
$125 !!!!!???? Thats crazy
$125?
Need Mantanna. His head sculpt makes him look huge besides other figures.
The legs help that effect!
I have a near exact version of this belt other than there is no WWF logo at the bottoned end of the belt
Nice! It's an absolutely inspired belt design!
Very Awesome
Some of the best in the biz!
Those are very detailed small belts
Right?! Forbidden Figurine was truly a master of her craft. I'm still reeling that i won't be able to buy more from her!
@@jon_finn why is that?
@@MarkVersion1 They decided to close up shop after receiving too much hate and harassment for delayed orders. They were too successful to keep up with the demand. :(
@@jon_finn aw too bad
The AWA title has to go on Larry Zbyszko
Excellent idea, if I ever get my hands on a Zbyszko - I think putting it on Jerry Lawler might look nice too :-D
@@jon_finn Ofc but Jerry Lawler is hard to come by lol I've gotten a couple Zbyszko's at Target.
I’m sure this has been said many times….BUT, you get that you paid for.
It has, and you do! For ~$100, i'm super stoked with this purchase!!
Guess I need to start troop building these to balance out my Horde Troopers. A two pack would be nice.
can you try the head of this bray wyatt to any elite bray wyatt figures lets see if it fits well the head on this one is so cool
Awesome find!
I kick myself every day when I realize how many of these I must have thrown away - it was such a relief to find these!!
Spray some clear coat on that bitch and the gold won't peel off
Count'm, six now! On a side note. I like the Troopers hands. The gripping hand is pretty firm? Solid is maybe a better word.
Niiiicccce! That's a pretty decent sized army! I do wish they came with the crossbow, but that's not really a complaint, just a wish! Keep me posted if you get more!!!
@@jon_finn I need one more so I can strip him of his arm and fist for my custom Hordak. Which means likely two more.
@@Shaitanshammer Please keep me posted on that custom Hordak! I'm very interested to see how that turns out!
I just purchased the all gold looking winged eagle belt from Pakistan. I am very happy with it!
Awesome! It's great to be able to get the things you like without spending an arm and a leg! lol
@@jon_finn Yes. It looks authentic enough to me and like you said in the video, the WWF logo makes it worth more the small things that may be wrong. Plus for me, the weight of the belt also makes me feel as if it is the real thing! Next I'm getting the attitude Era 1998 belt.
@@gamerschannel9610 That blocky WWF logo is so wonderful! Let me know what you think of the 98 belt!
I was told that my WWF tag team belts were made and were being sent somewhere to be shipped to me 3 weeks ago and then when i messaged a week and half later only to see if they were sent, i was told that he was sorting them and if there is left overs then my would be sent. I dont understand i have paid for them. I have never harassed or been rude and havent received any email back in regards to wether or not i am able to get what i paid for..
It can be really frustrating waiting on something like this, I'm sorry you're experiencing that! I can say with confidence that if you paid for the belts, you will get them. It's my understanding that both FF and their 2-3 helpers all have pretty involved lives outside of belt making, so it's not exactly a well-oiled machine. If they were to ever make a comeback, I would love to work with them to help iron out some of the more logistical issues. Once you get the belts in hand, I think you will be very pleased with the result. If you decide you want a refund, send them an email!
@@jon_finn Thanks for the reply, I hope i to get them soon.. i dont want a refund those belts are beautiful and 1000% need to be in my collection.. Thanks Jon for getting back to me
@@paulsherrin7552 Anytime my friend, thank you for commenting in the first place! If you can remember, let me know what you think when you finally get them!!
For sure ! Thanks Jon
Three and counting. I'll get back to you after Christmas. Though my newest two are from my birthday which was days ago.
I know that Stratos sort of triggers some people but he's kind of grown on me. Sure I would love him in gray but not paying those prices...
I gave Stratos a club, which is actually a missile from a Transformer.
Wind Raider is freaking huge! Got mine for 15 bucks also on Amazon.
I finally got a Grayskull. It's great. Maybe could have used a few more weapons for the rack but love the sculpt overall.
I'm so glad you were able to get your hands on one! Buying and setting it up was strangely invigorating for me - it was like stepping back into my childhood!!!
@@jon_finn like you I was paranoid about the stickers but it went really smooth. Even the dungeon grate no problems.
@@Shaitanshammer Awe yeah! Now we just need snake mountain! BTW - is your screenname a Wheel of Time reference?
@@jon_finn Nope. It ties into my own writing. The name of the gun/cannon the bald guy in m avatar uses.
@@Shaitanshammer Very nice! Do you have any of your writing posted anywhere or is it mostly for private enjoyment (lord knows i have a lot of that 😅)
Glad I'm not the only one who likes Adora's head sculpt.
I've seen a lot of hate for it, but I think it's gorgeous! I do wish the hair was a bit more pliable though!
Since F.F is gone who else make custom belts for figures?
Hope you don't take offense to this but you look Chris Griffin. I also got both of these as they were the only two I was missing in my collection.
LOL 😆 I've not heard that one before 😅 I'm glad you've been able to complete your collection my dude!!!
Was lucky enough to get wave 3 to 9 at retail at Walmart, paid Ninjor and Triklops 13$can at 20% off😂😂😂
!!!! That is fairy-tale levels of awesome my dude!!!!!
@@jon_finn I do camping for that😂
I found Roboto, Trap Jaw and Tri Klops at a local toy store for $20 each loose
SICK! I hope your comment rubs some of that good luck off on me!!!
You gotta find the right over seas belt maker lol
Indeed! For ~$100, this was definitely the right maker for me 😁
Nice
It's sad she won't be making anymore belts 😔
Love this set glad i got it
Same! I'm finally putting them up on display this week!
Great review. I like how you compare the scales as that's very important to me. Also might want to use the pants as a custom for other characters..good to know it's actually too short for Sid
Thank you my dude! I put the ref clothes on Flyin Brian and it looked great!
Well in Mattel’s and Jazware’s defense, I don’t think they could really mass produce belts of that quality without drastically upping the prices of their figures.
You are 100% correct my dude. If i'm being honest, the Mattel belts are what starting my collection back in 2016. The FF belts just took everything to another level!
@@jon_finn exactly
The Origins Teela figure looks beautiful. Thanks for making this review video. There is also a version of this figure with the updated knees but it is harder to find. I am guessing that the version with updated knees for Teela will become collectible in the future due to its relative scarcity.
Great video!!!!!!
Thank you my dude!
Oh man it looks good! I have a real one and I need this little version for my collection. Really detailed.
Thank you for commenting! The belts are second to none in my opinion, and this Winged Eagle is one of the best in terms of detail! The only one i definitely like better is the IWGP V4. That's a piece of artwork! 🤌🤌
@@jon_finn I have some belts on my channel feel free to check out 😊. Good night.
are these belt metal die-cast? Or plastic? With leather
First - thanks for commenting! I'm not exactly sure what they are made of, but it's some sort of plastic. They are 3d printed and I don't really know what kind of material that process uses 😅 The straps are either leather or some sort of good analog - but worlds better than the rubber belts that come with the WWE Elite and other similar lines.
Does it feel like plastic type? Or metal can u give me some info because I’m trying to buy one but i dont know if they’re like the metal 1 of 500 jakks one lol
@@ZzZzz-uz3mp Oh, I'm sorry my dude! Misunderstood what you were asking! They are definitely not metal, they are plastic or some byproduct of it!
