@ 3:25 She says, " your next step is you're gonna take your half cup of turmeric and a cup to a cup and a half of water and sauté it in a saucepan". " Sauté "????🙄It's impossible to saute turmeric powder in water! Sauté literally means "to fry" in an oil or fat. To cook something in the water over low heat just below the boiling point is to "simmer". BTW, the reason it's important to add black pepper to turmeric paste, is not because it "spices it up", black pepper is important because it helps your body in absorbing more turmeric than it could have without the black pepper.

I am Vata dosha: very dry and cold. Eating wheat bread can quickly cause me flu or sinusitis, and I avoid dry stuff and beans. Lentils actually make me bleed. The weird thing though is that it seems corn tortillas don't seem to do anything bad to me. Why is that? I'm Mexican, corn tortillas are a staple of my diet. Should I avoid them?

Hi. I can only get "kelp seaweed" powder where I reside. Am I able to substitute this for kombu? And how much would then be used in the recipe, if yes? Also, I can't find Hing (asofoetida) where I live, what can I use as a substitute, pls? Thank you

I’m a Vata-Kapha, but currently have excess pitta. I can’t seem to get a consistent answer on whether chia seeds are good for Pitta dosha? Vasant Lad’s books say no…but its mentioned here 🤷🏽‍♀️

Gotu kola (Centella asiatica) It has a long history of use in the traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine systems, which is important to mention the origins of use. In Ayurvedic medicine Gotu kola is one of the most powerful brain tonics. It is native to tropical regions of Africa, Asia, Australia, and islands in the western Pacific Ocean. The west found it much later on.
