Bo4 was absolute fire. The only drawback to bo4 was the remake maps, they were garbage, we needed more chaos story maps for bo4. Aether had no spot in the game and was arguably the only reason bo4 was bad at all, the chaos story was absolutely amazing and the story was fire

Sure they are reimagining of campaign but it’s if a previous zombie map that isn’t just a copy and paste remaster. So chronicles are remastered but bo4 aether maps are reimagining older zombies maps (five, call of the dead, blood) because they are different from their predecessor. And for shi no numa, I thought about it but I feel like the other 5 on the list do a better job of changing things up. The only real thing changed about shi no numa was a new area, Easter egg, and pack a punch, plus the mechanics of vanguard. If I were to rank all reimagined maps, it would probably be after the giant but before the alpha omega because the giant was just remade for the new story, but alpha omega was a heavily expanded version of nuketown. The only area that is the same is the base mp map part, everything else was completely new, while shi no numa relies a lot on the og layout and wonder weapon (wonderwaffe for the 8th of something time)

It's unfortunate that so many people didnt' like BO4 zombies. Since they abandoned the campaign you could definitely tell that they dedicated way more resources to zombies. The game has 8 huge maps. Not other game had 8 maps made by the devs before.

I just spent a weekend in a cabin with some friends from highschool. I brought my xbox and BO3 and BO4. Both were a blast! So grateful that BO4 also had 4 player split screen.

I actually like bo4 zombies if I play it casually. I thought the core gameplay loop was fun, but the easter eggs are all too complicated and tedious so playing bo4 more seriously doesnt work for me. Also the hud sucks and why are there so many damn part locations

It wasn't actually till the release of tag der toten, that I got back into bo4. I gave up on it on launch due to all the crazy bugs and random bs. But nowadays (even without wifi to play on) bo4 is actually still fun at the end of the day

I wish the cabinet concept with a mystery wall weapon was used more, I know after the first time you buy it the mystery and gamble of it is gone but I just remember how cool I thought it was when I was 10 and getting to experience everything zombies was for the first time… idky the cabinet just always stood out to me

I agree it is good but the chaos story never really interested me. Walking around Classified is like easter egg heaven for the og CODZ story. Every scrap of paper, every screen, is a callback to something and it gets me every time I play it. Plus the music and intro cutscene are masterpieces, on par with shadows of evil in my opinion.

Like, I understand what you're saying, but that doesn't make it any less of a version of the map known as Nacht der Untoten. To clarify, who is to say that Nacht on Tranzit is Nacht and not "bunker from WaW campaign." Afaik, it's only an area that looks like Nacht, but also bears a striking resemblance to the bunker from the WaW campaign. Any Nacht that isn't explicitly called "Nacht der Untoten" could just as well be "Bunker from WaW campaign."

This list is pretty good, Tranzit on release was just awful with all the bugs and hardware limitation, though I didn't like Black ops 4 because it didn't really feel like a zombies game anymore, with the inter changeable perks and specialist weapons as well as bots.

I've come back to zombies recently after years. The last black ops i played was bo2, it's crazy to see how much zombies has gone down the toilet but bo3 and 4 still have some good stuff, its fun to look at these videos to just see what the new maps offer.

I used to play world at war and always sucked at zombies. Last year I competed my first Easter egg on Orgins and my mind was blown. KZread really taught me so much I wish I knew as a kid. Playing in my 20’s with my brother like we used to but with some skill and understanding has been so much fun. Good video bud.

I dont think it's pubg or fortnite. Those games had their own authentic game mods that I enjoy btw I enjoy fortnite. The problem is in activation for not being authentic especially with zombies. I missed the atmosphere, the ambience, the power lader you climb from a starting weapon to a damn war ending weapon and then there is the lor and the show but don't tell formula that's why I still play the original four black ops games bcz they nailed it
