  Faysal's logic is flipped. Ronaldo will start for Portugal during the group stage matches and will perform well by scoring few goals because Portugal has the easiest group. This will make it impossible to drop him during the knockout stage and when Portugal face a big team like Germany, he will get pocketed by someone like Rudiger and Portugal will be knocked out.

  Have never understood this obsession people have in England with club vs country and the clamour to performatively show your love for your club by denigrating the nation.
