Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is an independent statutory body of the Queensland Government. We provide kindergarten to Year 12 syllabuses, guidelines, assessment, reporting, testing and certification services for Queensland schools. The QCAA was established on 1 July 2014, replacing the Queensland Studies Authority. With the exception of video depicting students, the videos on the QCAA channel are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 Licence. Please attribute the QCAA as ‘© State of Queensland (QCAA) 2019, licensed under CC BY 4.0’. Videos depicting students are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 Licence.     The teacher did such a good job of getting children involved in the learning experience she planned. She used prop-crocodile to bring in the concept of phonics. Slow pace, good serve-back communication, well done! She also used a plenty of strategies here: asking questions, making mistakes on purpose to promote thinking, and demonstrate turn-taking.
