I want to share the many tools and equipment I have made and modified. Many items were inspired by other KZreadrs and include things used for camping, bushcrafting and survival, along with the workshop. I love to cook so you can expect to see many videos on that! Knives are tools and I plan many videos showing knives I have made and knives I own. I have some pretty cool antiques I want to share. Leatherwork, blacksmithing, crafts, gardening, cooking, woodworking, metalworking, gun smithing, motorcycle restoration, boat restoration, appliance repair, fishing and sewing is the short list. I have many interests so, hopefully, I will have a video on something you are interested in! Thanks to anyone watching and I appreciate you subscribing to my channel!

    P.S., I just returned from a 3000 miles trip with this thing tied on the roof rack. It worked great, rain and sun had no effect on it. It stayed dry inside and I am very pleased with it!

    I got one of those for Christmas back around 1965. Still have it and it still works. But I haven't shot it since the early 70's. I have not seen any of them at the stores, even after I got one. My folks did good by me in getting it.

    Glad to hear when people hang on to their older guns. I was recently given a new 760 crosman, I think the only thing metal on it is the barrel! Doubt many of those will be around in 50-60 Years! Thanks for watching!

    Great video. You do good work! I have a couple of 150s too. The early model would take a longer barrel since the barrel is a 2 piece arrangement.

    I got my first Victorinox Swiss Army knife when I was in my senior year in high school, in 1969. I've had one in my pocket ever since. For a while I was a knife nut, and some other knives came and went. Mostly went. After the knife nut bug faded out, the Victorinox was back in my pocket as my sole EDC pocket knife. There's a little classic on my keyring in a small leather pouch sheath I made for it. That way, it's not really attached to my keys and easier to use when it is pulled out of the sheath. In my pocket is one of my larger ones, an aloe cadet or my pioneer. I love the larger aloe handled ones, they are built so much more bomb proof. My kitchen is all Victorinox as well. Never leave home without my Swiss Army knife.

    I have the same fixed blade. I am 76 years old, won it when I was in 4th grade selling flower and vegetable seeds. Don’t think they would give a knife as a prize in school and let you go home on the bus with it today

    The coping saw so recognizable. What is the coping mean in this context, I never heard of a coping knife and always thought it was a proper name vs utility, if you know?

  • @blademan175
    @blademan17523 күн бұрын

    Coping saws make a “coped” joint, which is, a joint with intricate curves vs. just mitered. They call this a coping knife maybe just as a marketing ploy, to be different? It is very similar to other blade styles.

    Love the old Western’s. Them old sheaths are tuff to repair once the Leather splits like that. The stitching and stitched leather area gives way. I have found on old sheaths like that to avoid oils. Just rub it out carefully with hard wax. Most hard wax has a slight amount of oil, just enough to help the wax apply

    Greetings ,cool ! I found a knife similar . In an elevator pit . New building after a redo on some floors ( prob from carpet layers ) hope it was not sentimental value to someone … when I was new to the trade I was asked to clean out a old turn of the old century 1900 department store ( different building) . Found lots of old coins 1800’s ( I was an apprentice elevator man n told to clean pits n paint that day … nobody told me that it was a dirt pit !!! I was digging my way to China… lo may be a foot ( but ground was hard) ( I heard a bout that for a long time ( but kept my mouth closed bout the money ( cause I wanted to go back))) . Never did .. because of circumstances.

    Hello, I was recently scrolling through Ebay looking at knife lots, found one of that same knife but without the serrations, thought back to this video and figured you might be interested in the bunch, as clicking on random links is never the best idea, I'll leave the name of the seller, Bay State Tackle, the listing is called "Lot of vintage Knives", not sure if it would be of any interest, but saying something seems better than not, going for $40 with $6.15 shipping at the moment.

    When I was in the army I was part of Ranger school. We moved from Utah to New Mexico. Anyway in the dessert they had these little cactus and sand spurs. The cactus would go through your boots. Anyway after the first week in the field. Everyone went to the PX and bought swiss Army knives because of the tweezer. That was 1992 we had leathermans but they weren't very good at pulling small thorns. Can't even begin to guess how many swiss army knives I've lost. Lol. Every boy scout had the huntsman. I stopped using swiss army knives because the steel is so soft and they seem to never be very sharp.
