I have disk brakes but finding a decent price tag on a bike with disk brakes alone is expensive af definitely with aluminum bodies like mine. I grew up riding bikes before disk brakes and there is literally no issues with V brakes! Bike companies didn’t make them for decades if they were so terrible! 😂

Just to make sure, as it was never mentioned - you have Tektro calipers (4 piston? 2?) and Tektro brake hose. And you attach Shimano levers instead of Tektro (2 piston model?) This is exactly what I'd like to do on my Giant Trance. The Tektro hose is bigger (both OD and ID) - did you use Tektro barb and olive or Shimano ones? Many thanks!

Having a cheap bike is better than not having a bike. Unless a person is actually mountain biking on a trail or in a race, these bikes are okay for commuting and riding on a green belt or riding around town but the buyer should make sure the bike was correctly assembled by the store. It's a good idea to have a bike shop check out the bike.

This guy has no idea what he's talking about. I lived in Banff for 15 years and rode my bike, with v-brakes, on some of the most technical single track and downhill lines for YEARS without any problems. After 20 years Im still riding them.

If you just riding your bike in your city and sometimes do some fun stuff with it any bike will do, but if you wanna do something series you should either buy a road bike, if you also do some outta town roads you need a gravel bike, if you wanna go do cycling in the jungle and mountain a hardtail mountain bike is sufficient, and if you really wanna go and try some rough terrain which is a bit serious a trial bike is what you need and at the end if you wanna do some touring going town to town or go to another state of province you need a touring bike, and at the end if you wanna go for world touring you need a very reliable touring bike, but you can also do all of that with and cross country bike or mountain bike, but if you don't go to dirt roads and rough train and only thing you care is speed then the areo race bike is for you ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Nice video, thanks. I have the Redwood as well and noticed the shavings inside the seat tube looking down into BB area. LOTS of alloy shavings -more than what you even show. Hopefully they have cleaned up their processes by now. They are a pretty good bike company and i imagine they are competing with guys like Priority that are building really good bikes at similar pricepoint.

I started on a toys r us bike years ago. Then I bought better bikes after. Last bike I bought was. Trek Marlin 6 Gen2.. For my type of riding that's all I need and. I do ride some crazy lines. Upgraded tires, grips, seat, pedals, and fork. Next, I'm looking into an ebike. The Aventon Ramblas looks good. Nothing wrong with these bikes. Buy what you can/want, and enjoy the ride.

We have the 2022 Outlander Black Edition.... I have tried 3 times to get this fixed and they keep saying the SUV is fine but it's not. I have ideas to fix it myself. I will let you know, I am kind of done. I took mine in to again get this looked at and to get my oil changed and tires rotated and balanced... They did nothing to the hood and charged me $84.99 for the oil change, $49.99 for the rotation and balance, plus taxes and fees.... I'm not going back unless I have to.

You pushed the limits in the range. My eBike says it will go 50-60 miles. The most I’ve done on it (one of the three times I’ve ridden it) was maybe 36 miles. I would not push against that 50-60 mile range.

V-brakes are as powerful as 160mm mechanical disc brakes, however disc brakes work better in all weather but they have brake pads that can cover that base as well, if you're doing steep downhill mountain bike riding, hydraulic disc brakes is a good choice, but everything else is accurate 👌

There's essentially nothing wrong with quill stems, they were on the best bikes not all that long ago. Nowadays yes they're used mostly on the cheapest bikes, so hard to find a replacement if you want to replace it. But it will work fine.
