Wish belt be longer . Unfortunately can not use it . Wish they could create a solution because really love this bag .

    Right now Cicadas are hatching across the Country, they are probably near you (depending on where you are). Which is probably the best time to catch carp on topwater flies, but only happens every 10-14 years depending on the brood. Otherwise they sometimes will eat other topwater insects or even mulberries at certain times.

    I agree. I don't think the logo looks bad, if anything it makes it look more civilian and less like a CC bag. I doubt the buckle rattles like that when worn. And as for the heat issue, that's carrying any bag or gun in that position. It's trapping your body heat against you. I've never seen a CC bag with a mesh back, but even if there was one, I doubt it'd be much if any cooler.

    1. Being the first one on the water isn’t advantageous- it’s a disadvantage. It takes time for carp to key in on this new food source, they are having to totally reorient the way they feed- going from a bottom feeder to a surface feeder. Being early doesn’t only apply to the hatch, it applies to the day as well. Although they will be eating cicadas at all times, the bugs get more active as it warms up. Particularly on colder nights, feel free to eat a late breakfast. 2. Being stealthy and having finesse isn’t necessary. Although you do want to avoid spooking them with the boat, at least in our experience here in GA- your presentation did not need to be stealthy, actually the opposite seemed true. The fish are looking for giant terrestrials, not size 18 mayflies. Looking for cruising fish and allowing our fish to smack on the water near them was our most effective tactic. As these fish get pressured that may be subject to change, but a loud presentation worked best for us. If they didn’t eat or turned off, go ahead and pick your cast back up and make another loud smack in their feeding lane, no need to allow your bug to sit for long periods. Of course, this is not a rule- read the fish’s body language and adjust for your fishery 3. You don’t need nice flies. We caught fish on beautiful flies, we caught fish on terrible flies. Seems like best features on a fly were some weight to get it to make a loud smack on the water and rubber legs. I started playing around with some splayed wing style flies which seemed to work very well as well. If you see these bugs sitting on the water, they aren’t sitting pretty like a mayfly. They are in all sorts of weird positions, they are NOT an aquatic insect. They’ll be upside down, right side up, sideways, wings splayed, whatever. Do not overthink your fly patterns. Something in the 1-1.5” range (I caught fish on even bigger flies) with foam, some orange, and rubber legs and you will be fine.

    Honestly, this bag even with its issues is still one of the best options in this size/price category. I would also take a look at the helicon bags and the Hill people gear waist pack. Otherwise you may find a non-“tactical” bag that fits your needs well with less of a tactical look to it.

    How many liters is the regular sized one? Thanks

  • @ferrulewax
    @ferrulewax3 ай бұрын

    I don't think that eberlestock explicitly states the capacity of the Bando bags, that being said they do list the size of the Concealed carry pocket (5.25”H x 9.25”W x 3”D). Using those specs plus the rest of the bag's size I would guess it is somewhere around 4 liters. Again, that is a very rough estimate. One issue with having multiple pockets and compartments is that you give up some total volume in exchange for the organization.

    Dude, it's been so long I can't remember what we were using this particular day. Recently, they've been eating smaller natural stuff. I threw a Soft hackle PT with a blue thorax and did pretty well. Earlier this year we hammered the brookies on sparkle minnows, and did well on browns and rainbows with typical junk food. All depends on when fresh, uneducated fish have been put in, and how much pressure it has received.

It seems now that my Walmart has restocked. Type in " RainX Microfiber Window Mop " on Walmart's website to see if they have it near you.
