I prefer music with passion and feeling rather than monotone loud noisy passionless guitar. What she performed is technically great...but lacked passionate feelings generated that is normally felt in just the first 45 seconds of Moonlight Sonata.

You should check out Tommy Johansson as well! Also Swedish with an amazing voice but also a multi instrumentalist and fantastic at arranging music. Previously lead guitarist in Sabaton. I could go on and on. Releasing a new cover every Friday. I don't know how he does it with the arrangements, planning the video, playing and singing all the parts. He's one in a million!

Wouldn't surprise me if she is also looking at a wave screen (screen as 'conductor') to get the timing right with the backing. There are some off-beat accents because it's based on classical music. I myself like to do that too with recordings with tempo changes f.i.

He had Leukemia prior to Skid Row. He was just recovering from his bone marrow transplant when Skid Row asked him to join. He had to make the decision to leave Skid Row due to the rigorous touring schedule with a brand new immune system, and he kept catching colds and flues. He needs to fully recover before massive touring again.

To me the most mindblowing part of this is the fact that she is actually blending the two guitar solos of the song into one and then giving it her own spin and flavour. Even Herman Li dropped his jaw watching it, stopped the video, looked into the camera and went: Fååårk! Even though her band upon her return essentially is a garage Grunge band, she is in her early twenties and learning how to write rock songs and being part of a band. It´s not fantastic and people are giving her flack for this, but come on, she´s got a lifetime to learn that skill. She has long ago proven herself to the world and I hope this is the beginning of a long a fruitful life for her as one of this worlds most gifted, talented and skillful guitarists. None of us can hold a candle to her.

Don´t worry,- Tina S is a legend, Marcin is Marcin, Tim Henson is Tim Henson, Ichika is Ichika and the rest of us can always try to play a slow blues i Am melodically focusing on the flat 5 or a single line swinging version of Für Elise so we can at least try to convince ourselves we have just a little justification. We have none.

Yo. This interpretation and delivery is more appealing to me than the original because it isn't sappy. Plus he has a voice with an incredible range. Sweden has provided us with incredible music artists, from songwriters to vocalists like this. Are you familiar with the Swedish band Dirty Loops? If not, they are a whole different version of incredible....with a side serving of humor.

Erik i more than amazing. I am Swedish and I have heard him live several times sinces 2009 and his voice and ranch is unreal but what is the most impressive is that he is even better live and he hits his noter EVERY EVERY TIME.he is the best ❤

  • Күн бұрын

Erik normally records with a couple of friends/artists that provide their musical parts to him. He then prefers to deliver the song "live" in his studio to the recorded music. Of course there could be multiple takes to perfect the song, but what we hear is the live voice of him with some reverb. ENJOY! PS: Erik beat cancer in 2021 and just after that he was approached by Skid Row (his all-time favourite band) to join them as the new singer. He toured and made the latest album with them, but due to the struggles with his health, still recovering from the cancer treatment, he had to withdraw for health reasons recently. DS.

ACDC, Russell Moriss, Cold Chisel, Jonh Farnham, Easybeats aka Friday on my mind fame and out of the Easybeats check out Evie by the lead singer and of course Russell Morriss's Coca Cola masterpiece that sold tens of millions of Cokes then Bluesey style inspired by the greats such as Muddy Waters from the Masters Apprentices with Tobaco Road etc. You have discovered a deep rabbit hole

And some quotes: Loyde played G.O.D when he did an unscheduled performance at Sunbury ’73 - at 3.30 am on January 29. He called it “the Fucked Band” - “you were fucked if you were in it and you were fucked if you weren’t”. “We were off our minds,” Loyde later explained, “and we said to the stage roadies, ‘Turn it on, mate, we’re going to bloody play!’ And they said, ‘Everyone’s asleep.’ And we said, ‘Ah, they won’t be asleep for long!’”

He has great covers of Sabbath, Dio, Whitesnake, Journey, Pantera, Judas Priest, Bon Jovi and Mariah Carey as well on his channel. He is also a fantastic live singer. He won Swedish Idol a younger kid. You can still find his version of Queen's "Show Must Go On" and other nuggets from those days on KZread.

He was guitarist in Sabaton until recentlly and is lead guitar/singer in Majestica, but he does a ton of his own solo work and has a phenomenal voice - just like Erik. Erik and Tommy also did a collab on a Sabaton song Carolus Rex. Tommy J uploads a new cover almost every Friday. (psst and you'll like his guitar work) Cheers!

She has two techniques. When she plays rock she holds the guitar on her right knee, with the neck horizontal. For a classical piece like this it goes on her left knee with the neck raised, There are two distinct guitarists living in her brain.

@@michaelgoyettemusic Here's one for you... What's the difference between a chord solo and fingerstyle? Back in the day it was all finger picking to me. Is there a difference? I mean Alip Ba ta, Tommy Emmanuel and Marcin all play fingerstyle apparently but the styles are completely different. Now I'm starting to see arrangements described as chord solos and I'm getting a tad confused 'cos to me they are doing the same thing. i.e. mixing parts of the original song into an arrangement which contains elements of the chord sequence, bass, line, hooks and melodies into one playable piece. How much flair is added to that seems to depend on the players personality and showmanship. Just wondering am I missing some nuance or is there another world of guitar out there that I haven't discovered?
