Hi Andrew. I just got in touch with Nanodent through one of their Facebook ads. One of their agents replied to me, we made contact through WhatsApp and the conversation has flowed ever since. I'm in a similar position, but not as bad as you. I'm tempted to go abroad, but very cautious. I'd like to hear how you get on. Question, did you send them any x rays before going?
@HGVMe9 күн бұрын
They asked me to. So I went to a local dentist and paid for x-rays. BUT..once I asked for copies of the x-rays the local dentist ghosted me. Simply refused to acknowledge my request. What are you going to do?
@Split10uk8 күн бұрын
@@HGVMe I can get a panoramic X-ray done, but I have the feeling that I might hit the same problem as you. Thing is, my dentist has given me a rough quote (£17,000) that I can't afford. When I last saw him (3 days ago for filling) he told me I needed a root removing from an old broken tooth which he's doing next week. i told him I'm not in a postion financially to have any work done yet, and he said it world take at least 6 months from extraction date, before he would be able to do an implant, as it needed to heal. I'll have a few more words with him next wednesday. I know it's my body, but I feel deceitful going abroad for dentistry. I think the care if needed when you return to the UK is my biggest worry.
@HGVMe7 күн бұрын
@@Split10uk You have to do what you're comfortable with. Having said that I'm not a wealthy person. Every penny I spend has to be earned first so the option of getting implants here in the UK is a pipe dream for me. I took into account the aftercare situation and I figured as I'm having a full extraction and all on 6 implants (12 in total) there's precious little to go wrong. Once the initial healing period has passed and the implants are settled, the only real issue I can see is if I break either the upper or lower arch? For the most durable outcome Nanodent have offered a monolithic zirconium arch top and bottom. Zirconium is far more durable than the porcelain used by some other clinics. Less likely to crack or chip. And the fact it's monolithic (milled from a single piece of zirconium) means there are no weak points. So once the initial healing period is over aftercare requirements, in my case at least, should be no more than a hygiene visit now and again. Which is little more to me than a reason to have a few days sunshine in Antalya.

Hello hgvme, I just thought of a thing for newbies on the port of Felix. I took "what3words" and with a satellite overlay on the maps, chose a position which would put us top of the rows of container's like H or whatever the first lane is at the opposite end from the Quayside, then any newbie wanting to go straight to that point can have it as a destination on what3words and when they get there, it's easy then to just use the signs to find your lane and row. Letter and numbers for your container pick up or delivery.
