    First of all to Createx, man thanks for all the video's. All of your presenters, especially Chris, break down everything in easy to follow/understand language, top job! Now admittingly i may have not seen a video explaining this but here goes. On a gaming piece like the D&D miniature in this video, is the Createx paint durable enough that it doesn't need a protective coat on top? If it does need a top coat what would you suggest? Ive seen you mention i believe a PPG product call 2K on things like automotive or bike gas tanks paint jobs. I should also say im looking on candy coating paint jobs on my models, is the 4050 gloss enough of a protectant? Anyway thanks for your time Chris

    Hello. Quick question... What is the purple color two over and two up from your left shoulder? (Right when watching the video) I've been using Createx paints for many years painting R/C Bodies, now my medium has changed to bike frames and that color is almost spot on for what a customer is asking for. I just can't seem to find it in my online shop of choice. Thank You!!!

    Is the reducer to help thin the paint? I notice that when I dilute the paint with water/alcohol, and do tight detail, the airbrush blows the paint out of the crevices. And, mind you, I have the pressure turned WAYYY down.

  • @CreatexColors

    Yes, Createx reducers such as our new 4021 Reducer help not only paint such as Bloodline spray well but also greatly decreases tip-dry compared to thinning with water, createxcolors.com/reducers-additives. Thank you.

  • @CreatexColors
    @CreatexColors5 күн бұрын

    Createx Airbrush colors are made with lightfast pigments, not inks, and a durable acrylic resin that, after heatsetting, colors are washfast meaning they will not fade when washed. For more about heatsetting Createx Airbrush Colors, please refer to our textile application guide available atcreatextech.com/. Thank you.

    I suppose most following this are aware, but mixing reducer along with 4050 makes a HUGE difference in how the paint sprays and adheres particularly with the original Createx that are thicker When I started airbrushing I tried using the original colors directly in my HP-CS. The constant clogging and tip dry was exceptionally frustrating. I virtually never get tip dry since I started mixing. Another thing that really helps is to keep dried paint off the caps. I watch videos on KZread and no one wipes their caps after dispensing paint. Big mistake IMO. It only takes one piece the size of a grain of sand to plug your tip I’ve ordered multiple things through Spraygunner and their service is unbeatable Question…you said the new reducer can be mixed with the paint and not affect shelf life. Is that still true if you mix 4050, 4021, and the paint?

  • @CreatexColors
    @CreatexColors14 күн бұрын

    Yes, Createx paints mixed with 4050 UVLS Gloss clear and 4021 Reducer have an "indefinite shelf life". That is, the sprayable mix can last for several months (years?) if not longer so long as the bottle is capped air-tight unless actually pouring paint. Every time the mixture is exposed to fresh air, some evaporation occurs, so there is a gradual thickening of the paint over time, especially if it is stored in direct light or exposed to heat, however adding more paint / 4050 / 4021 can bring back the sprayable viscosity. The mixture will not coagulate over time. Thank you.

In multiple videos Createx stated the Gloss uvls clear to be the best and most durable 🤔 Obviously I'm not running a business so time and material don't really matter but I like to know your view on the matter.
