Very pretty! I find using double stick tape works great too!
That looks amazing!! I really love your work! Would you mind telling me how many strands you use to make your filigree wire? I have been struggling to figure out what gauge to use and how thick it should be! Sometimes it ends up wider than the frame as well. 🙄😂
Thank you. I'm very happy that you like my works. I have a very detailed pdf tutorial on how to make filigree wire easy and of the same width. Check out my website. www.mystyfox.com/tutorials
C'est merveilleux! Quelle délicatesse. Merci pour cette vidéo (et les autres) Thank you very much, it's very very butifull! 🙏
Thank you
Что это было ? Ни начала , ни окончания . 🙄🤣🥴
What's this song?
This is so amazing to watch. You are my sister in The Sisterhood of Metalsmiths❤️. I am helping as much as we can for Ukraine. Most importantly the World Central Kitchen. I’m so hopeful that they are there, on the ground, helping. And, giving hope. Please know there are millions of people all over the world, who pray for peace, believe in the Ukraine people as amazing souls in the world. I pray you hold your chin up now, if you can’t, imagine 1 million people right now are skiing to do the same thing. Give a woman hope. Hope drives us. Hope , makes us stop and breath. Hope relaxes our soul. So don’t ever doubt there are millions ready to stand up and say, enough is enough🤗🤗🤗😘❤️🥰🙏
Thank you ♥
Hello, I just found your pendant tutorial. I’m curious if this is any type of religious symbol of any kind? Very nice.
Thank you. Not that I know of at least.
The video helps alot! Love the tutorial and can't wait to try it.
thanks :). Good luck
А пайка ?
What kind of wires are you using?
I make the wires myself. If you'd like to try to make filigree i can make the wires for you
Beautiful work!! I’d love to try this!! 🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖
Thank you very much. I have a very detailed pdf tutorial on how to make this kind of filigree. The link is in the description
@@MystyFoxArt thank you so much 💚
Lo siento no se ingles pero queria felicitar por tan bonito trabajo y grasias por compartirlo aprendo mucha
de nada :)
Are you using a brush w/flux on it to apply the solder chips?.. great video thanks
Yes :). I'm very happy you like it.
hi Misty! my filigree is SS, from rio, it should be fine i think, yes?
The SS filigree wire from Rio is too thick and too springy. I highly recommend making the wire yourself from fine silver and roll it through the rolling mill. I have a tutorial on how to make filigree wire in my Etsy shop. Or if you don't have a rolling mill then I can make both the filigree wire and the frame wire for you. That wire from Rio, I've never tried it, people of course use it, but the filigree is not that delicate from it.
Beautiful artistry! Thanks for the vid! 💜
Thank you for your kind words. You are welcome :)
OMG you're a god of jewelry!
hehe thank you :)
😃😃😃 🗣🗣🗣YES ! Yes , Yes, Yes . Love the video. Please share more . Subscribed 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you very much :)
I use the powder solder from Rio, that you have to mix with water, which is hit and miss on the consitoncy. my question is which do you refer, I find and it would be my soldering but some wires come undone after soldering new peices on! Also do you measure your threads before you place them in the frame!
I failed to figure out how to solder with Victoria Lansford's powder solder. I use small medium solder chips that are sold precut at Rio, 0.5 * 1 mm size. I love them. You also do filigree? That's nice! Sometimes when you add more elements and solder them then the solder from the previous soldering gets undone, solder just flows somewhere else. It happens. I don't measure the length of the swirls, I just shape and cut then check whether it fits in where it has to be or not. If it's too long then I cut a small piece away and try again. If it's too short then I make another swirl and keep the short one for later. Hope it helps :). Feel free to ask any questions.
Пользуйтесь рассыпчатом припоем
Я наслаждаюсь пайкой кусочками. С рассыпчатым припоем у меня не сложилось, но буду еще практиковать в будущем :) Спасибо
Love the visual and the accompanying music... so relaxing! When do you use hard vs medium solder? Are you spraying it with flux? Thanks, Erta, I love your filigree jewelry!!!
Thank you very much for your kind comment. I looove to watch the solder flow, it's so meditating for me. That's why I decided to edit the video and upload it to KZread, thinking that maybe somebody else will find it relaxing too, so I'm happy :). I use the hard solder for soldering the thick wires, making the frame for filigree and I use medium solder to solder the filigree itself. Yes, I poured the flux into a small spray bottle and use it for soldering my filigree. I don't want to risk messing up my filigree by using a brush or dipping the whole piece into the flux, so I just spray it onto the hot silver.
@@MystyFoxArt I shazamed a lot of the music for my personal use to relax with later. And I love the flow of the video with it. Thank you for clarifying which solder to use and spraying the flux is genius!
@@isabelrowan6776 do you mind sharing some relaxing music playlists? I'd be grateful
@@MystyFoxArt I will ask my husband for suggestions:)
@@isabelrowan6776 :) thanks
What a beautiful piece! Love it! Thanks for sharing. How do you prepare your own sulfur? I'd love to know because in Argentina I can't find any. Thank you!
Thank you very much for your kind words. I used to make liver of sulfur but it is a VERY stinky and unhealthy thing to do. I'd recommend you to buy it at RioGrande from USA, because the handmade one doesn't last long, you have to make it over and over again. Rio Grande has a stabilized one that you can use for a long time.
@@MystyFoxArt Thank you very much!
so much precision, I'm amazed! You have wonderful skills 😍
Thank you very much :). Wish one day I'm as good at sawing as you are :)
they are incredible!! Wonderful work, filigree is so gorgeous!
Oh hey Basia! Thank you so much for your kind words :). I'm very happy to see you here :)
How do you solder all those delicate pieces? It's really intricate and lovely!
thank you. You can watch me making filigree live on Twitch :) www.twitch.tv/ertalee_silversmith
By the way, what is this patterned bezel that you're using? Is it from Rio?
yes, they sell this wire at Rio.

So behind the stone, you have the jump rings holding the stone? Interesting. I've never seen that. ❤
yes, I made it up when I didn't have silver sheets and I loved it. Looks more.... handmade :)
Hi. I'm from Trinidad 🇹🇹 and I do that same kind of Filigree . I make borders and fill, then gold solder it. I use Ten carat gold. I love your videos. It teaches.
thank you :)
Very very good and nice
thank you :)
This is a wonderful piece. You are very talented. I would love to give it a try. How thick is the silver you are using and how do you Polish the inside when you are finished.
Hi! Thank you! it's 0.25 x 0.9 mm wire. I use a brass brush to give it a shine and then mops with polishing compounds for final polish. You can watch me making filigree live on twitch -> www.twitch.tv/ertalee_silversmith . I will be happy to answer all your questions :)
Lovely video! Do you work gold or silver weld?
Thank you very much :). I make only sterling silver filigree.
@@MystyFoxArt Thanks
thank you very much, I now know how to make the copper wire shiny
You are welcome :). I'm very happy that my tutorial was helpful for you.
your tutorial is very well explained@@MystyFoxArt
Doesn’t speak loudly or clearly enough, image is blurry at some points, and off camera at times. Just tips for improvement.
thank you
Stunning pendant! 💖💕💖💕💖💕💖💕💖
thank you :)
Hiya, what a fantastic piece of work, I love your calm voice telling us exactly how to make your wonderful pendant, very relaxing and informative. When I can get some wire I must try this, but I don't think I could ever bear to part with it... lol.
thank you very much for your kind words :). Good luck with it! It's all about practice :)

thank you very much :)
lovely video but how did you get the exacting measure for the wires to fit in so exactly and what do you recommend to solder with ? ty
thank you. I make the wires myself of the size I need.
You deserve so much more subscribers. I haven’t started any projects yet, but find this so relaxing. Thank goodness you showed up for me on YT! TFS!💞💞

This tutorial was exceptional. Your design was superb. I subscribed to your KZread channel but was disappointed that there was only one full-length tutorial. I hope that you will be able to produce more in the future. I am thankful to you for giving the time and effort to produce this one and will wait patiently for your next full-length production.
Thank you :) Hopefully I will make more :)
Great tutorial, what brand hammer is this?
thank you :). Oh... I don't know... I don't think it has any brand.
For wrapping around? I would use a ring manderal so I could know sizes for another or earrings...
Yes, I know. But I don't have a ring mandrel. Using what I have :)
Love this tutorial. Clear and concise. Easy to follow. Shows real workmanship. You are a good teacher.
Thank you very much :)
So delicate! So wonderful!
thank you :)
Couldn't really see anything. Camera was not close enough
I will try to make a close up video
Are you using regular paste flux? If not, what are you using? Thank you...I enjoyed your video!
I make flux myself. 1:1:100 borax, boric acid and water
oops, 1:1:10 borax, boric acid and water. Sorry
SO WELL DONE!! I love the way you take ur time and show each step. I am a real fan.

I love this! An excellent tut. You were off camera a bit at the first wire shaping, which worried me, but you corrected and all was fine the rest of the video. I will be trying this one!
Thank you. This is my first video tutorial. Now I know what to improve :) Good luck with it! :)
