    Nice tractor, we had a 4000 like that when I was a kid. Handy little tractor. My dad and grandpa restored many John Deere and Farmalls, only Ford was a Jubilee. I helped with many and restored a Farmall B as an FFA project, so I appreciate all the hard work you've done.

    Beautiful tractor. Wish one could buy something as dependable and long lasting as that today. Many tractors have plastic body panels and those with metal panels are paper thin.

    Found your video from the Facebook marketplace posting. I'm rebuilding a Cub cadet 1650. I haven't done this kind of work in a long time. However, after watching the level of effort you put into rebuilding this Ford, I need to quit complaining and get to work. Great job. Inspiring. And thanks for the copper exhaust idea, body fills and primer tips.

    Great job. I've got a 1964 Ford 2000 1st gen with a 134 CI 4 cylinder that I believe is the same engine you have. I need to rebuild the engine as I've got a lot of smoke from the exhaust. I may give you a shout.

Lol

    No overheating problem there but my mower is a side discharge so it takes a while to get the grass out and it really cakes on so I have to get under it and clean it but I still have fun with it. Carry on 😀🇨🇦

  • @fundsfordad
    @fundsfordad Жыл бұрын

    No no issues with overheating and it has power to spare with that 72 “ mower , side discharge works best if you blow grass where you’ve already mowed so u don’t keep handling it , but I’m sure u prob knew that ! Just thought I’d throw out there in case

    I was hoping for a little demonstration I has a Golden Jubilee with a 6’ finish mower she has a tendency to run hot even in first gear so I have to watch the radiator and clean the dandelion spors and the dust can really plug it up it’s surprising how much power it takes to run the mower!😀🇨🇦

    I mow with my jubilee I use a 5ft Ford brush cutter and just clean up my trails twice a year. Never got hot but Im also not cutting much more than grass, you can try a temp gun on the radiator to make sure the core is flowing properly

    What is the knob under the temp gauge? I recently purchased a 4000 4 cylinder in good condition. I already used your clear coat tip! Looking nicer and nicer! Mine is just a regular 4000 , no power steering. Have you used the rear hydraulics much? I have seen a couple install videos of those but none under use. I was thinking hydraulic top link used on a rear bucket. Thanks for showing it on here, nicest looking 4000 I have seen online, its great to have such good example to refer to!

    Thank u I appreciate your compliments! That’s not a knob under temp gauge it’s a really cool factory style dash light ! It’s really cool !!! She is an awesome tractor ! I have a full resto video maybe you’ve seen ? It was going to the scrap yard if I didn’t save it ! I don’t use rear hydraulics much only on my top link for box blade
