I have the 7800x3d and when I was playing open beta, at certain times it reached 83-84C! I've never had the CPU go over 80C in ANY game so far, including Cyberpunk at maxed settings and 1440p. I wonder if there is something wrong with the CPU or is it because it's summer and the temperatures outside are 33+~

Why use 2 different pastes? I can only find one.. it says its for gpus and cpus and other chips.. it says it has 7.5 w/m.k and there is 3 grams.. is it good enough? Will i need more?

Something was going on with the game. I get much better FPS along with what @voidn833 mentioned. When I first ran the game, I installed it without modifying anything.
@@Meanpooh I just checked mine was wondering if it was just the maps, on the snow maps I'm getting 220-250 fps, was super shocked, but the green maps it can be anywhere from 90-180 FPS, checking the logs for the game there's plenty of mesh error's being generated, so my guess is its got some bugs in there, the snow maps do tend to have less tree's etc so I wonder if some of the tree meshes are bad, too many polygons or something.
I managed to further tweak my dual rank ram to 48 read 49 write 46.5 copy and 74 ns latency. Only downside being the SPD flashing part 😂
Man this laptop is so cool because it doesn't drawn to much power. Every cpu that uses more than 60W it will reach 90°C.😊

If possible, see if you can attach the drive to another computer and format it. If you cant do that try using an external drive enclosure to attach to your computer to be formatted. Remember, this is just adding more storage not replacing the drive that's in there.
does the flash drive have to be empty ? also can i use a hard drive ?
It will erase when you format it. I'd say its possible but it will be easier with a usb flash drive.
How is your gpu so cool?, got a nitro + xtx but temps for this game are like 70-75 for me 😢
My gaming room sits between 21-22C. Are you overclocked? I'm using the undervolt setting in Adrenaline. I also have the bios switch on the card changed to full power mode. I can't think of anything else besides having an AIO cooler for the CPU.

I spend 3 Hours doing this but somehow produce no results what if you just drop the link on Google Drive of every NEO-Geo DS .Neo converted into the Gdrive and share the link then? too complicated, followed strictly all the videos but still nothin happens.
Sorry to hear that. This is such an old video. As far as the files not working. I believe over the years, the roms have been converted or changed to something to where they will not work correctly. The original files that I had are most likely gone from any drives that I had at the time.
@@Meanpooh Sadly but I have better flashcart on my 3DS right now called Ace3DS+ does have NeoDS but no roms inside because i don't have .Neo files but I have Zipped files of NeoGeo games right now (KoF and Metal Slug series)
FPS should be way higher on the 7800x3d/7900xtx combo... I'm getting 140-180 on this game, on a 7900xtx paired with a 5950x, with a 3660x1440p resolution Watching the clock speed on the GPU it would seem that theres a bottle neck so the GPU is stepping down I'm digging the over lay though looks smart
Might be worth retesting this now, I'm hitting 140-160 FPS on a 7900xtx paired with a 5950x at 1440p all maxed out settings, with frame get in high 200s
Wait a second how did you manage to have this game run on Pico 4 with full support of Pico 4 controllers??? When I tried to launch it via VD - it either won't load as Oculus compatible game or it loads via SteamVR option, but then it won't register Pico4 controllers and instead the game automatically chooses HTC Vive controllers making the game unplayable. Can you explain how you made it work, please?
I mentioned in the video that the controllers are limited and I had to use a gamepad to play.

Imo AoW games have always been quite poorly optimized. Even AoW4 had its troubles in the start but its been optimized and improved quite a bit.
I feel as though the game ran pretty well and the only times I saw some FPS dips was when I went from below to above ground.
I am playing Age of Wonders 3. It is great. Age of Wonders 4 couldn't probably be played on my Acer Nitro 5. Good to see you man. It has been a while.

i know im late to the video but could anyone tell me if i can use the arctic MX-4 on all of those chips he used the puddy on, or is it only used on CPU's GPU's, im asking as it will come before the K5 Pro puddy so im not sure if i have to wait for the puddy to come. thank you
Only use thermal grease on the CPU or GPU. You can use the typical thermal pads on VRMs Memory, etc if you do not want to use K5Pro.
Thanks for the video it really open my eyes hahaha! What i did was setting EPP to 0 for maximum performace and set the clock speed lower so it does not reach high temps... 3.8ghz sweet spot

Thank you for this video! I have to reapply thermal paste on a legion 5 (2021), more than 24m old or more, and I wanted a reliable thermal paste solution + tutorial for it and this video suffices. Could you please tell me what happens if I use more thicker thermal pads? I will go with PTM7950 for sure but im curious about thicker thermal pads
Going thicker may cause a section to not make contact.

On my intel ring (intel core i7 12650h )I have an enormous around 20 ° C decrease in temperature after disabling the turbo boost. The cores were always thermal throttling. The difference on fps side is not to noticeable.
So it comes with 2 (6+2) cables for the GPU? I was wondering if this gpu would work with a RTX 4070 ti super?

I finally found fix to lower temps in laptop :) I'm using Acer Predator Helios 16 Intel i9 13900HX pairing with Nvidia RTX 4080. In the power options > under power management > set maximum processor frequency to 3200 MHZ and set maximum processor frequency for processor power efficiency to 3400 MHZ and set processor performance boost mode to efficient aggressive for plugged In. to enable these hidden options search on youtube videos do this configuration. Like this comment If your issue is fixed , Happy Gaming :)

I'm shocked how much hotter kryonaut is in your case. In my experience even standard Kryonaut has excellent thermal conductivity, not to mention Extreme version you're using. And it's only 55 watts, not 70-100 watts or something.
