Excellent video! Watching from QLD! Very relevant information; thank you 🙏
Beach Rd malaga. Its hectic
Well spoted👍🖐
What adjustments would you make for larger vehicles with bigger turning circles(in a 4WD)? Also, suggestions as to why I am ending up too far on the right side of the bay.
Check this video out kzread.info/dash/bejne/hnaTraSCZKurgbw.html Let me know if it's useful
@DrivingSchoolWA another excellent video Steve
Thanks mate!
Good video! I have my test in two weeks from now!
Thank you, good luck!! Let me know how you go
Thanks for this master lesson 👍🏻
No worries!
what should be distance between your car and the parked car while you overtake it?
1.5 m
2:05 never happens I was already in and the one on the left went in fast and she was a learner 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Why doesn’t know one give way to the right when I’m already going straight I was going straight and the car on the left entering just went in
I have confirmed turn right Len drive listing today into roundabout get home I life confirmed life right
Can I park in front of a driveway?
No you can't
This is ridiculous. There should be no "hardest part" of a driving test. It should be a 30 minute drive where if you drive the car correctly and don't break any rules, you are given a license. More like the USA. it's just a money making scheme by the Australian government.
Agreed the test it's so hard I passed but it's over the top 😅
Agreed!!! Australian Licensing is a scam to make money Direction given are so riduculous to make you nervous on the road
Yes its just a scam to make money
Nah man dident you know, Mercedes Audi and whatever expensive car drivers don't have to follow the road rules don't you know that there better than all of us
The road is at fault here
Why do Perth drivers indicate to leave a roundabout? It is more confusing and dangerous when someone is going straight but they indicate left.
@@michaelfurness8050 it's ok if people do it properly or at all
@@michaelfurness8050 people indicate when exiting because thats what the road laws state you have to
I’ve been driving since I was 19. 33 now. Never crashed. I live in England, however I’m spending a month in australia and hiring a car. I’m an experienced driver but I’m nervous about driving there. Is it exactly the same as England?
I believe it's a lot easier here in Western Australia than in England. Roads are well planned and nothing to be nervous about. Drive safely!
Hello,, Do you take lessons in butler🙂

@@DrivingSchoolWA can I contact you personally? If I can get an account to chat or smth 🙂🙂

Can I enter the driveway reversing? If yes can you make a video please
Yes you can. I will make the video on that topic, I have mentioned it and showed in a few videos on Exercise left something behind.
Thanks for all you videos! I passed on the first go today at Rockingham, your videos and advice helped alot thank you
Fantastic! You are most welcome
Hi, I got my learners permit from DOT in December,2023. After that I got my driving licence from my home country ( Bangladesh) in April,2024. Can I use my Bangladeshi driving licence to drive in Western Australia? Thanks
It's best to ring the Department of Transprt on 131 156 if you are in Western Australia and ask them what your obligations are. Drive safely!
This sucks dosent even stick
OMG i have driving anxiety
I failed my first attempt because I forgot the place I had stopped, so they marked a bad choice since I could've used a better option to come back, nothing to do with driving itself, that exam is a joke, but I appreciate these videos.
this is scary. my goodness
Thank you so much Steve! It has been a while.
Just passed my pda test at West Perth today, second try, thank you your videos are really helpful
Great to hear, congratulations and you are most welcome!
Hey mate, quick question. With regard to parking in the test, will you be required to perform forward, reverse and parallel or only 1 of the 3. Cheers
Forward and reverse yes, parallel parking is random. It depends on the assessor
some drivers in perth need to watch some of these guys videos istg
So is this a fail?
That why i went to midland instead of mirrabooka to my p plates test
Should have been warned. That would catch out even the most experienced drivers if not familiar with the area. A low key dangerous road design that should never have been done.
What do you mean by not choosing the best available spot? You mean the first in the line or the nearer to me?
Thank you for all the tips and info, very helpful 🙏
Most welcome, glad it was helpful!
hi.it is perfect. I want you as my instructor, ty for this
Although I cant find anything in the road rules saying its illegal to pause while turning and waiting for the yellow light to stop traffic. I dont like to cross over the line when turning right unless I see a clear way through the traffic. Waiting for the yellow to stop other traffic seems fine until you meet someone who speeds up to get across the yellow light. Ive seen this happen twice and its a nasty crash. My apoligies to the people behind me.
Stoplights>roundabouts.
You always cancel you indicator if you're not planning to take any kind of turn or exit, wethers its coming from a roundabout or just regular intersections. Don't use it if you don't have to
You sure do!
Was told never to trust an indicator so I don’t understand why others would
It's best to pay attention to the speed of the vehicle with the indicator blinking. If they are to fast to turn, they probably left it on accidentaly or switched it on too soon. Drive safely!
I’ve never thought of it like this, I understand now! Wheels need to match the engine
Fking hate this type of red lights, the gov have the money, maybe consider fixing this assholic intersections instead of failing our PDA and hope for the best?
as a bmw owner I have to tell you, I have no idea wtf youre talking about indicator? intentions? blinkers? what are these things? only gas clutch and brake!
Get off the road man that’s not funny
You're mirrored video is very confusing!
Mirrored?
Confusing? No that’s just you lol
Hahah is Steve still testing and failing people there?
I waited for someone the other day when reversing out of a car park bay, I started moving then stopped when he turned the and looked like he was coming straight through (It was pretty obvious I had stopped for him) He then just pulled in to a bay before he got by me and didn't use his indicator, this obviously annoyed me a bit as I had wasted my time waiting for some ignorant driver. As I reversed I said thanks for using your indicators, Him and his missus jumped out of their car and then proceeded to stare at me like I was the *******. As I went past I wound my window down and shouted "They are called indicators"
Europeans looking at this video: "First time bro?" :D
Welcome to the channel!
we have roundabouts in the USA too btw
usually only in more densely populated areas though
If WA Gov wants to improve road crash figures, this is the kind of content they should be showing as ads instead of scare tactics. Show us how to all be better drivers instead of telling us we all die if we go fast. If West Aussies have better skills overall, the roads become safer. Love watching this channel. I’ve been driving for years.
Thanks for for the comment 🙏🙏🙏
The very first merge in this video is a "lane ends" merge, as indicated by the short-dash line going the whole length. This means the left-lane vehicle must execute a lane change to the right, and as such does not need to wait to the end (the last arrow) or stay aligned with the left kerb line. This is an important distinction because it gives right-of-way to cars in the right lane (compared with a true "form one lane" merge, where the lane markings stop before the end, with the car in front having right-of-way).
Why doea ozzie guy have a south african accent?
So Q , can you cross the white line before its clear to turn safetly
