You inplemented a hiring freeze when teachers/staff are already overwhelmed, and your reasoning is because the population in sarasota county is decreasing???? All the achievements made by the students and staff in sarasota county schools were made DESPITE your terrible oversight/leadership! Sarasota county schools would be better off if this was your first and last year as superintendent!

Newly released documents say Moms For Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler and her GOP chairman husband went “on the prowl” in Sarasota bars to find women to have sex with. Text messages quoted in a Sarasota Police Department (SPD) memo that was obtained by the Florida Trident revealed that Ziegler sent her husband, Christian, hunting for a third sexual partner at local bars and directed him to send photos of possible hits. She allegedly told him to pretend to take pictures of his beer while photographing the women so he wouldn’t get caught sneaking pictures of them.

This district needs to get the bullying situation under control ASAP! These students who spoke last night do not deserve this garbage. The district is exposing itself to a risk management disaster of epic proportions. These students/parents should highly consider filing complaints with the USDOE Office of Civil Rights for systemic bullying. This no joke Sarasota. I hope this IT person who uploads content and monitors the comments will put a bug into the ears of the Connor administration. I know... his hands will be somewhat tied because of Rose-Miller turning the district office into a dictatorship. She needs to be defeated in August. She is a stain on public education in the state of Florida.

I hope more people would show up for comments and rally's. We have won the fight to kill the Don't Say Gay law... but the county hasn't moved to share the results with teachers and admin. They need clarification. Wasting taxpayer funds is still a problem as corporate schools siphon off money intended for our public schools. Other states provide free school lunches... we need to do the same in an area with such wealth disparity.

It just proves our point… most of these people are here for tribal reasons, not policy issues.

  • @lisaschurr7387

Remember that this board changed the timing allowing three minutes for all speakers, regardless of whether it was an agenda or nonagenda item that was being discussed, shortly after Ziegler, Enos, and Marinelli were sworn into office in 2022. So it was this very same board that changed the restrictive policy BACK to the three minutes per person, regardless of the content of the comments (agenda vs nonagenda items). Ziegler took to Fox News with Melissa Bakondy in tow, I believe it was in 2022, to argue for the safeguarding of Bakondy's rights to spew homophobic hate speech. We didn't hear a word from any of the board members when Proud Boys and their ilk took over the board meetings during the great masking debate. But now we have Karen Rose leading the charge to limit public comments because she doesn't like the CONTENT of those comments. It is really quite simple. This move to restrict public comments is driven by Rose not liking the CONTENT of these public comments. The reality is most of the actual work of the Board takes place during Work Sessions. There is no public comment permitted at Work Sessions.
