I'm speechless. Just finished watching it 07/9/24. I immediately needed to share my thoughts on this so I come here. 1) I think this was the first movie in my entire life that has ever made me cry more than two times in one sitting. The amount of pain and suffering everybody went through during those times--even I cannot fathom--which leads me to my next thought 2) this movie just makes me think how thankful we are for certain stuff. Because life is definitely not easy. It just makes me wonder somebody out there is probably more or less going through the same thing that this boy and sister is going through. And man look at me? I better not catch myself complaining about life because this story right here captures the true feeling of heart ache and lost 3) and then the boy seita: the caregiver, the fighter, the ristaker and so much more. There was probably so much decision-making he had to do while juggling everything around him. Man I got to give it to him. Best emotional movie I've watched this year.

When Ashitaka said at end he'll help them make irontown again that disappointed me so much. Instead of leaving those greedy bastards behind and going back to take care of his tribe (being the last of Prince's ) he's responsible for and not them, he got too delusional by end. The ending left me so bittersweet. None of the bad guys were killed just like real life. And really the Great Forest Spirit's face was so creepy. Mother Nature please swallow us all soon like it does in movie it's better than other calamities.
