    For me, Schuyler is much more readable and easier on my eyes than an Allan and Cambridge. Although the font I have is either 10 or 11.

    Hey just wanted to thank you so much, I have a reflector on the bottom of my bumper that's been loose and driving me crazy ever since I got my car 2 months ago. When I would unscrew the T screws it wouldn't budge. I have it off and tightening that reflector down!

    You're not wrong, the Epiq series is clearly the best made box out there. Other companies make nice boxes, but they are typically just as expensive, and a lot are not 30in deep, or not as heavy duty. Talking with apprentices and helpers in the shop, I try to find out if they want to do this long term before suggesting snap on to them. If this is just a job for them for a time, get a US general box, if it's a career, buy a name brand box. I work in heavy equipment, tooling gets HEAVY very fast. Ease of replacement parts and warranty is important to me, for the guys that are gonna do this long term, and want to tool up very heavy (we have the luxury of a well stocked tool room so many people just borrow the bigger stuff from the tool room) absolutely go out and get a name brand box. Nothing else will take the weight of our 3/4 and 1in drive tools, 1.5-2+ in wrenches as well as an epiq will.

    You nailed it! Cambridge has the best insides, Allen the best outside, and Schyuler is the most balanced. Honestly if Schuyler had more of a classic font I would say they are the best(and if they would take the Jerusalem cross of the cover, just personal preference.) I remember when Schyuler first started they did a TBS Westminster reference Bible clone and it looked awesome, but sadly they don't do that anymore. If you ever want to try something different but still classy try the Clarion from Cambridge, didn't think I would like it, the covers are nice but could be better, but they layout has become my favorite(my Allen 43 and 63 are tied with it for first tho)... Just make sure you get a 2016 or newer version that has the better paper, most goatskin versions have it.

    What size is the monitor? I’m wanting to do the same thing but 32” looks like it might be too big to fit between the lid struts. The next option was 24” which would fit but obviously want as big a screen as possible lol

  • @snapontoolreview
    @snapontoolreview Жыл бұрын

    The one in the video is I believe an odd size. I want to say it was a 28 or 29 inch. I have since replaced it with a 24 inch. And find it to be just fine. If you can find a a 32 with very little border trim I believe it would work.

  • @tspugsley39

    I ended up finding a 32” Samsung that worked great! Had to switch the struts to the outside of the mounts but no big deal there. Thanks for the idea!

    I would like to make a simple comment just to mention that the Mueller Kueps clip lifter kit (5pcs and 3pcs long) tools are very nice. Mueller also sells a fuse plier that works well for certain small head trim clips as well. I'd like to test those Steck pliers. They look very nice. Frankly to do almost perfect work for clips, you'd probably have to invest in several tools for trim! I also like the miniature Stahlwille lever bar with the green handle. It has a little "spoon" tip and SUPER thin and seems very strong. Really helpful for damage free removal and or starting of extremely tight low tolerance interior trim pieces. Scuffing these tight tolerance high dollar european cars pieces can start to feel a little shabby, mistakes happen and some marring is unavoidable. Hot tip - A small piece of sticky tape or dumdum (butyl tape) works well to start screw bolt covers (door panels, etc) where there's basically absolutely no way to remove the plug cover without scuffing or wedging the piece out. It's fun to try to make it look like you were never there when doing these types of repairs. We've all seen dozens of "whatever screwdriver was available" to remove the trim cover. And sometimes that's the best solution! Best regards

    How about metal u-shaped spring clips, the types which dig into the plastic. Somehow the metal pin(sort of) must be retracted or entire clip somehow spread very wide to release the grip. Would love to know how others do it.

    Tim, how many premium Bibles do you have? just curious... Also, thanks so much for your review. I agree that Allen is the best when it comes to the quality of the leather and Cambridge has this readability that I don't see in other Bibles. Schuyler is also great.

    Great video/review. I'm with you 100%... Often disappointed that if I want the premium features; I have to get the large or extra large version; case in point here. 40"x30" is flat out too big for me. $5k+ is the last nail in the coffin. I'm looking for more portable and smaller footprint; ~ 32"x20". Looks like SO has the only one that is not an import. So, I'll probably save a little longer and get that. Might look into upgrading/retrofitting to Epic or Cornwell slides and casters. Probably also get a cabinet shop make fit a stainless steel [overlay] top. @Cornwell tools: If you listening; I wish you would make the Platinum cart in 32"x20". Maybe I'm not the only one?
