Y’all I’m so sorry about the audio. Apparently Streamyard didn’t recognize my mics.
Bay leaf tip- If you grind it into a powder with a spice mill, you can use 1/4 or 1/2 tsp in your canning and have a much "fuller" flavor of bay. A tip I picked up while in Africa recently. (although "Mama" ground her's very finely using a mortar and pestle - so glad we have convenience gadgets here in the US!) :)
@@Dorene-vr2vy love it! Will definitely try it!
I am sure you have a good reason but I do not understand... why did you cut the brisket into such large pieces? and how did your rendering turn out? Love your videos. :)
@@Dorene-vr2vy rendering turned out great! It made 2 quarts of tallow. Size of cuts is personal preference. Thanks for watching!
nice
Good to see ya Grammy, it's great to see how things are going, the girls get spicy when they get hungry.😂 Gota feed the babies, It's that time of year in many places doing the same myself. Blessed Days Grammy Lisa...
You got that right
Whew mine were cranky yesterday!
Yep one hive tagged me 7 times that day! Cranky during dearth!
Get er done Lisa! Nice looking yard! I think you have hit sideliner status!
@@brucesbees not sure about that sideliner status! I definitely can’t handle the amount you have! 🤣🤣
@@GrammyMidwifeha! I can’t either!
@@brucesbees😂😂
Lisa your Apiary is looking good. Thanks for the video.
@@russellaymond312 thanks Russell! I’ve worked hard on getting good queens, great nutrition, dead mites and SHB! Didn’t pull all the honey I probably could have so as to leave some for the girls to have resources. I hope all 20 get through the winter and become production hives next spring!
I found the sweet spot on my knob in stove, marked it with magic marker and just go by that. Once u turn it down from the loud jiggle, works so no guesses
@@donate1sttt yay!
Yummy
😢😮😅
I don’t understand the ‘sweet spot’. I find that I am constantly adjusting the temp (baby adjustments) up or down. The gauge never stays at a steady temp. My eyes are constantly on the gauge while pressure canning. What are your suggestions?
@@ME-gy6hi there is another weight available that might be helpful. My gauge typically goes above 11# of pressure and I am using the weight that came with my canner.
How much head space do to you leave to accommodate for the cold liquid expanding,
@@zachgardner2053 I left a one inch headspace
Yummy want to know how!!

Awesome video Lisa, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
You did not mention about washing your meat first.
It’s not recommended to wash meat prior to canning or freezing
Good job Lisa! My wife would tell me to fix it or go buy another one if hers broke.
They really aren’t difficult to fix!
You did great! 🥰☀️ Thanks Lisa!
Thanks for watching!
Here watching and Taking notes❤
It really isn’t difficult to do yourself!
Hey Lisa and Ed! Catching the replay 😊
Thanks Sara!
Hi Grammy, Ed. I did not realize you two were that close to each other. That's cool looks like you all had a fun day.
Yes, Dave, we are about 12-15 miles from each other.
Hello Ed and Lisa
Hey Russell! Thanks for watching!
Kamon Reynolds did a video using diatomaceous earth in one of those trays under the screened bottom board for SHB and it seemed to work well. 🐝✌️💜🌼🍯
Thanks for the info
I've been wanting to make bbq sauce and these look fantastic! In the spicy one the printed recipe says 6 cups ketchup but you used a full 8 cups...is it a misprint or doesn't it really matter?
Yes I used the full 8 cups. Thanks for noticing! I just edited the recipe I. The description box!
That's a bunch of bean Grammy!
Yes, 38 pints!
