For those who don't know, Rufus's parents are talented folk singer/songwriters Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle. He has been performing since he was a kid, hence his ease on stage. And though he gets well deserved praise for his voice, his songwriting is extraordinary and deserves to be checked out. He has written two operas in addition to pop songs and is always doing interesting musical projects. His concerts are really fun because he's not only charismatic but very charming and funny. He doesn't get enough recognition, IMO.

thank you for being that guy! always one in a heralded performance clip, and you don't have to like his professional vocal quality, of course, but really, he needs to button up his shirt??? a thin sliver of his chest shows and you're bothered... of course, if it was a woman with 10x as much of her chest showing in a beautiful evening dress, your eyes wouldn't move.

RW!!! You are like the light trying it’s best to bust through my groggy, crusty eyelids. But once I smush away the crust and realize I am a lucky human being. So thank you for being who you are and doing what you do. I also can totally identify w/ Snoop just feeling into himself and rocking out introvert style.

I think that was Snoop curling up into a ball knowing he cannot sing or write original melodies, watching a stone cold stellar voice singing well-crafted melodies. Don't get me wrong, Snoop Dogg is a brilliant salesman and is smart enough to know how to 'borrow' other's musical talents and melodies to make himself a millionaire. But he knows he's not anywhere close to being a part of the musical universe inhabited by Rufus Wainwright and Billy Joel.
