I'm Disco_Doris, your nonchalant host and guide on this adventure. I used to be a marine biologist and then marine environmental scientist, but life changed unexpectedly when I needed to full-time care for my elderly parents and I turned to streaming instead. I've met a wonderful community online and this is my newest adventure. Stunning- a timely reminder that we have beautiful scenery in our own back yard so to speak. This made me want to go for a walk (peers out of the window into the pouring rain) when it's dry :)

How did you manage to make it look so nice and quiet?! My memories of the place are a heaving mass of cars and people, and lot of noise. I haven't lived there since 1984, although I worked there still for a few more years. I don't have fond memories. Parts of the place are completely unrecognisable now. Especially near the hospital where my children were born.
A lot of car noise was muted out! But I'd say that the town is gradually rounding the corner, there have been better decisions made wrt better pedestrian access, park and ride and diverting traffic away from the town centre... And this was a sunny Monday afternoon, it genuinely wasn't horribly busy.

Really enjoyed this Doris, quite funny seeing your mum in the shots- felt like I was stalking her a little bit! I liked the video audio peeking out from the music- hearing the wind and waves was really nice- felt like I was there!

Certainly they used Dubrovnik for Game of Thrones, so that might be some of it
