  @@alejandroortega3620 That’s okay, believe it or not, I actually watched this movie before I watched the show too, because I saw this very trailer and was impressed by the images. I didn’t understand anything that was actually going on plot wise, but I could still feel the emotions of the Christian and the overall message. Basically, there was no way you would be able to truly understand what’s happening without having seen the show, so I would do that now. Trust me, it is worth it, the show along with this film, is an incredibly enriching experience.

  There should at least be sound coming through the astronauts radio, there is still a BUNCH of body sound that is being transferred from the booster into the astronauts suit. I mean she is directly touching it. That's how sound works. Also is everyone just INCOMPETENT in this show?

  This upload cuts off just a few seconds too early from the original trailer. In the original the final shot of Eva 01 slowly fades to black while the music ends and an audience begins clapping (because the song used is from the live orchestra tour). I love that last part because it gives EoE a more grand feeling of scale. This trailer (in full) definitely shaped how I absorbed EoE the first time I watched it. Otherwise the quality of this is good.

  I don’t remember if I ever commented about this, but the musical screetch combined with the scene at 1:42 where Shinji screams is perfection. I still consider this a quintessential EoE trailer, even if you can tell that it's fan made.

  I love right before this scene they give us that tense stand-off with the cosmonaut, putting all of us on edge for only nothing to happen, then this comes out of nowhere when we think we’re out of the woods

  I love the fact that the rocket doesn’t make any noise. It’s scientifically accurate as there’s no sound in space. They also do this with other spacecraft and explosions. Usually sci-fi shows will add these sounds but I love how this doesn’t and gives it a sense of realism

  The sound effect thing is the one realism thing I'll overlook. In some scenes, like a silent explosion as a character's mic cuts out, it can be cool but for whole shows it gets boring. And unlike most things sci-fi related like star wars and star trek excusing away them being in space with some magic articial gravity nonsense, adding sound effects is just more work and is, IMO, much appreciated. Fake gravity is an excuse, SFX is extra effort and a loving touch. That's what differentiates them to me

  I do wish that when the camera was behind the engine plume there was sound, since the plume is essentially a blast of air and would be able to carry at least a small amount of sound

  @@VitaeLibra I agree. I like how The Expanse strikes a middleground with muffled sound. Sometimes no sound makes it a little too soft. Add SOME sound at just the right moments and it gives you a jolt. If you have no sound FX in space, then the tension is all on the visuals and the actors' voices.
