Plot twist: It was Ms Potter's plan to stuff Nigel's father with fatty, sweet and unhealthy food so that he would die faster and she could inherit his properties! She also deliberately make Nigel abandon the house and go far away from her! LOL 😂

Freddie is such a darling in this beautiful film. Wish Nigel and Stuart had more scenes together yet this one for just the silent passion and admiration evident in Nigel's eyes was flawless!

Ahh me too, I like reading the book first before watching the movie :) I just watched this film, I found it pretty depressing honestly. Is the film similar to the book or is it very different?

I found the novel really good, I always find it better to read the novels first before watching the films, I just like it better. I wasnt even in search of any particular book really, I just picked up that one at random, flicked through it a little and decided to buy it, Im glad I did. Id recomend it :)

i was watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yesterday and i saw Freddie Highmores name in it, i knew i had seen it before somewhere, in the novel version of Toast it tells you on the front cover that him and Helena Bonham Carter star in the film. its wierd when you see an actor when theyr young and then again when theyr older. i had the same reaction when i first saw Nicholas Hoult in the newest X Men after last seeing him in About A Boy.
