This channel is dedicicated to covering the Opioid Crisis and methods and techniques to help end the addiction. I felt that most of the information on the web had a tendency to demonize those unfortunate enough to be addicted. We can either demonize or help people addicted to opioids, not both. I want to present accurate information that will help people understand how opioids work, and then how to use that information to stop.
I want feedback from everyone to make these videos as helpful and informative as possible. New videos will be uploaded and given several months for comments. After the comment period, I will review the information, make changes to the video to take the suggestions into account, and then upload the updated version.
This information is based on my personal experience dealing with chronic pain. I was in a serious car accident 7 years ago that caused debilitating pain. I was able to successfully wean myself off of 75 mcg/hr Fentanyl patches.

I started doing drugs since my teenage, got addicted to opioid. Opioid addiction actually destroyed my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder, got diagnosed with OCD. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 4 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, opioid, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

Congrats! I'm really happy for you that your mom decided to help you. I always admire those who beat their addiction. Knowing it's possible to fix your life knowing there's people out there that have done what I thought was impossible gives me hope I will make it through as well. Those who share their experiences don't know how much it helps when you're about to give up, it gives you the strength knowing somone who actully know what it's like to go through this tell you it's possible, it's not the same somone telling you you can do it when they have no idea what it's like, but hearing somone who knows what it's like that helps a lot since you understand it firsthand and made it out gives so much hope. so thanks for sharing.

As I can see only a few could quit these drugs entirely. .or else one will keep on relapsed sooner or later after their detoxing periods. .I mean this could be years after their last doses..but still..I could say this is a lifetimes struggle for every addict person. .

It's important to me as an addict to feel like i've acually taken something, thus metadhone works really, really well. I don't say I nod out, but I really feel a small effect in my body and mind in the long term, which is enouge to keep me from taking something else.

Has anyone tried this with methadone? Months ago i tried to do a similar process, but I think it needs more time than a week to get used to the new dose. Probably the key is divide the dose in 4, it should help to avoid feeling any withdrawal symptom. Also having someone else to talk to should help a lot.

Good luck to everyone trying this technique. The issue I see here is the varying quality of your supply. Even just the psychological aspect of not being sure the fear you have this week is the same as last week is enough to make u trick urself into smoking it up

Can you help recommend any other less harmful drugs to kill the severe pain that the opioids are being used for in the 1st place. The opioids are already being used in conjunction with 3 additional painkillers and anti infammitary drugs to help eleviate severe long term chronic pain. The condition is incurable.

Important: using a pill cutter, even on a “scored” pill does Not guarantee that the medication is evenly dispersed by half. It is possible that one of the halves has 1/4 of medicine & the other half has 3/4. The Only way you KNOW what you are getting is to have the formulation of the dose you want, in a single pill. Pills manufacturers do not guarantee that half a pill contains half the medication. Manufacturers only guarantee that a single pill contains the amount of medication it was made to contain. Please- do not try to taper off by cutting pills: instead get reduced dosage pills in the amount you are using to taper. Example: you taper from 1mg x 4/day to begin, get prescriptions for .25mg & .5mg. Begin tapering by taking ( 1 x.5 + 1 x .25) four times a day. ALL those tapering any med, i wish you ALL the Best.

I've taken prescribed hydrocodone for probably 15 years. Does that mean that I'm going to continue to be depressed for years after I quit? But here's my real question: I rashly stopped all at once nine days ago. And I haven't had any noticeable withdrawal symptoms. How can that be?? Is my long usage going to result in a delayed tsunami of hideous withdrawal??? I really need an answer here! And thank you--your videos are clear as crystal and enormously helpful. I probably better tell my doc that, rather than just stemming pain with gabapentin, I should do your taper. And I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to ease my severe osteoarthritis, complex scoliosis, and stenosis . . . . eeeee . . . ibuprofen is good, but I'm not sure how good.

I'm a chronic pain patient. I get prescribed medications. I have been on pain killers since around 1999, maybe a little earlier or later. I am so tired of going through withdrawal every time the pharmacy runs out of one or both of them. I noticed I adjust to part of the withdrawal symptoms in about 3 days. However, I have been out of MS-Cottin for 1 week and still notice some problems, but only when I think about them. Last week, the pharmacy ran out of both the MS-Cottin and the Oxycodone. I ended up being forced on 1/2 of a 15mg Oxycodone for a few days. I don't feel any different at this point. While I managed to fill the oxycodone prescription, I have decided to step down. I'm going to drop to 1/4 tablet in a week or two, then attempting the elimination of 1 dose every 1 or two weeks. If I can't tolerate that, I'm going to purchase a milligram scale and use your advice from there. Thank you. I was accidently poisoned while working in Algeria and got chronic pancreatitis as a host of other issues. One of my concerns is the opioids slow digestion. In many people that causes constipation, however, with me, it pretty much stops my chronic diarrhea. I'm sure there must be other medications that can fix that though. I want to be free of being treated as a newly released prisoner on probation. Every month (or two) I have to see a pain management doctor. I undergo drug counts and random drug tests. I can only get my prescription filled at one pharmacy and in state only. These are hard prescriptions to have due to the war on legal drugs and doctors. Thank you for the video and advice. I will be talking to my doctor in a few weeks for the appointment made last time I saw her. I never used pills to get high. I just don't think the pain I'm in anymore really requires them. I'll soon find out.

These comments have put the fear of God in me!! I'm home post op and in pain. Taking 1 to 2 - 5 mg oxy as needed. Pain gets pretty bad at night, so I'd like to know I'm safe taking them to get by and be able to sleep. I don't particularly enjoy the feeling the give so that should help. I am however a beer drinker and now I'm on blood thinners and beer is a huge no no! Im guessing THAT is going to be my battle once I'm healed and feeling better. I wish you all strength and determination to break free if you are hooked!! Scary situation for sure!!!

It takes self discipline and that's something most addicts don't have. Addiction from opiates/opioids is the most powerful addiction known. I have taken Opiates daily for over 20 years. In that time I have had to go through horrific withdrawal. I have very recently started taking Suboxone at the highest allowed amount. It is barely doing the job but I'm two weeks without taking opioid medication which I supplemented with street drugs, heroin, oxy, you name it, whatever would get me through to my prescription renewal. It started with back surgery that went bad hemorrhaging after back surgery 4 levels of spinal fusion, decompression, bone grating, simulated bone packed around the titanium rods that went up both sides on my lower spine fastened with screws into the vertebra. I was to take a year to recover but had to go back to work within two weeks after surgery thinking I could be careful enough I'd recover. I didn't. Bleeding into the bone packed around the titanium rod prevented it from hardening. Now I had a mass of soft mud allowing movement sending throbbing bursts of pain through my back into my hips and legs. Its been horrific for years. My liver is shot now and lost 53 lbs. in 2 months. I'm very ill. So don't throw everyone into the same basket thinking weaning themselves off is possible. It is not possible in my case. I've tried harder than most can imagine.

  • @educatedcanadian7408
    @educatedcanadian7408Ай бұрын

Its possible. But it maybe you need the opiates. If you're in pain. I understand believe me I'm desperate to change my life and therefore don't care about the withdrawal as its more mental battle than physical

I was a user of maximum patch fentanyl 100 microgram and overlapping at that also oxy up to 80 mg 2x per day. This was for nearly 5 years at the time and I invested in a naltrexone implant that last 12 months, It saved my life! The most difficult withdrawal was leg ache and weakness. For this I found that magnesium salt bath and drinking tonic water was most helpful to relieve these pains. Non users can never appreciate what an addict goes through, be strong try stepping down or naltrexone. 🙏🙏🙏

Well my new Suboxone Dr., told me i have to stop the Benzos in a 2-3 week timeline. • As You Probably Know, I Told Them They Are Absolutely Crazy - Obviously Have Never Been, Never Seen, Never Research This Topic. • They Are JUST Going Off A 1950's Chart/Training From A Old School Dr., About Withdrawals! • Now When The Actual Doctor & Addiction Specialist Has Some "Personal Background" In This Matter, Which Is Hard To Find If At All!! • These Are The People That Should Be In Charge In Tapering Ppl Off Of Certain Medications, • ie: OPIOIDS: Oxy, Hydro's, Heroin, Methadone, ect.. • BENZO'S: Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, Atavin.. • Methamphetamine • Cocaine • Alcohol • Dissociatives • Maybe One Day Someone Will Come Out With A Better Treatment Option For Substance Abuse Or Dependency. • I Pray Everday That Something Will Change For Good In This Life Of Dependency/Addiction. I need opiates for Chronic Pain. But if they decide I need to come off them, I have no say. I have a life with opiates, without them am bed bound, unable to function. There are no safe substitutes for opiates, suboxone is destroying teeth enamel and a court case is looming. Tylenol, ibuprofen do nothing. Before surgery, I tapered myself down, but without telling my doctor so I did it very, very slowly and successfully. But the pain returned, and I needed opiates again. I am not an addict, I get no high. But I am terrified of doctors controlling my use of these life savers.

I feel like you are experiencing some akathisia. That restlessness & agitation you feel coming off any drug with an associated “withdrawal” or “discontinuation syndrome” is called “withdrawal akathisia”. No one tells you that is a sign of neurotoxicity occurring or having already occurred. I was injured by Methadone and later stopping Klonopin. Find Jill Nickens at the Akathisia Alliance for Better Education and hear about the chronic akathisia she got stopping the opiates Methadone and later Buprenorphine. Jill is still injured 15 years later. Many people carry a lower level of akathisia and mistake it for “anxiety”. Antidepressant injury and antidepressant tapering injuries are and even bigger offender of akathisia. The best thing is to slowly taper all akathisia causing meds. Understand opiates both mask and aggravate akathisia. Find Dr. Russell Copeland’s article Naloxone Rebound Akathisia: It could turn on you, to understand a little about opiate withdrawal akathisia. It turns out Narcan is inducing opiate withdrawal akathisia at light speed and neurologically injuring patients in efforts to save them. If you are still feeling sick on Buprenorphine, I am willing to bet the cold switch injured you.
