    I like the new directors. They have new fresh shots, and camera work, minus all the different angles, but I think michael bay should of directed these last two. Because they have chemistry already but The new directors. They're first debut big movie was 3. Which is why I feel it was lackluster. The new directors made the overall look of bad boys fresh. I just love michael bay. His action scenes are magnificent. I also feel the movie could of been had more action, since the fugitive aspect was introduced, and everybody is coming after them. I think that could of lasted longer, and I feel his son should of been more involed. In the movie. Like they had the perfect theme with the outlaw apsect. To go over the top. Especially with the gangs after them. Also I though tje cops should of been more invovled, because in the trailer. They made it seem like a bunch of dirty cops. Would be after them, and not just the cops. Tjat are the main characters, but let me stop being picky. I jist have high standards, because of the first two. I know they're older but you can still have a LOT Of action.

    Agree with Jovi. "Why do you play with the white man?" I understand that the message was to show that Toranaga did not need a white savior . But it let a bad taste in my mouth for the show/Toranaga to negate Anjin's character and character growth into being just amusing. John was a decent man to begin with. He had his "selfish" goals, but he had principles he lived by. He saved Toranaga's life three times, Ricardo's once and was ready to rescue Buntaro into the dinghy.

    Hi Guys, my aunt told me about THIS 🎬 🎞 🎥 She said it was over 2 hours in length! I didn't see it yet, but am planning on it. Thanks for NOT Spoiling it for me.... but when you mentioned Travon Martin; it's like what happened to Emmett Till in the south. All I can say is .....the perception of young people of color has ALWAYS been in question of white people especially white men. They believe that the youth are somewhat older, bigger, stronger than what is reality ( a fear of the unknown like, black guys are going to rape, out wit or Both to "their " pristine white women) Emmett at 12 years old, was whistling ( just whistling) and their perception TOOK THE HELL OVER)!! Zora Neale Hurston did almost the same thing when she immersed herself in the happpenings of those times as well. - Thanks for your thoughts fellows 😅

    Film was fine until the introduction of the film trope of the black gay man as victim. A film about tropes when it comes to black folk-black men in particular, and it weakens an overall above avg film. The performances overall are great. The film is fine. Hope to see more films with black folks dealing with ordinary life in a non tropey style.

    I did not care about this character and I did not care for this show, so I went in with very low expectations. I ended up liking it quite a bit. The action was cool, but it was the characters and their dynamics, as well as the story of Echo being caught between two worlds that I thought worked pretty well. Nothing extremely great but definitely not the dumpster fire I was anticipating a couple months ago haha.

    I watched it a few days ago & had 1 major problem with the film..........It literally took Mister from being evil in 1985 and ripping Celie & Nettie apart to literally being the devil by 2023 and attempting to grape his 13 year old sister-in-law in her sleep & then shooting at her after she refused to bend to his will and through her out at night in the midst of a rain storm.

    1 of the reasons that they are resurrecting this film to shock & awe a brand new generation in 2023 is so that blk wmn like Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Vivica Fox, and a dozen more who have decided to choose 💵 & fame over marriage can continue to have this Monsterous 👹Mister character & this Wimpy Harpo character to blame for a work of fiction that was created about a time period that supposedly happened before they were even born 🤦🏾‍♂️

  • @tacrewgirl
    @tacrewgirl6 ай бұрын

    Yeah, the talk between Issa's and Jeffrey's characters about appreciation vs pandering was the crux of the film to me and I wish they had expanded a bit more into how the issue is that only one kind of story gets told instead of in depth characters that aren't only poverty stricken with drugs. The movie was a nice backdrop and juxtaposition to Issa's book, but I feel like that was missed by many. To me, it reminded me of the feel good black movies of the 80s and 90s, like The Inkwell, Soul Food, Strictly Business and others. There was emotions and drama, but not racism, drugs, and poverty.

    The Color Purple is my all time favorite movie. I love both versions and I agree that it filled some gaps from the first version but I don't agree about the music. I feel that it was just ok except the Fantasia singing I'm here. I felt they had power house singers (Tamela Mann and Fantasia), people should of had the Holy Ghost watching this version Lol. They messed up the song "YES", that was the most powerful song in the first version. That is the only thing that I can say negative but the cast was on point. I was just thirsty for MORE soulful music. It better win some awards this time.

    The actors who play the main characters are very well-known and talented actors in Japan, so I think they get paid a fair amount. On a scale in Japanese show business. However, I'm sure there are some Western actors who would like to be cast in a Godzilla movie, even though ” I don't need to be paid”.

Not only was the Godzilla action sequences incredibly intense and suspenseful while being a spectacle of fun, but the characters they developed in the story were actually enjoyable and well fleshed out. I love seeing reviews from non-Beyhivers. As a Bey fan since 97 a lot of the child Beyoncé footage has been used before or can be found all over the Internet. So it’s refreshing to hear non-Beyhivers appreciate her and seeing her early development to get her to where she is. Beyoncé did not just happen overnight. And I think a lot of the haters don’t do their research to understand that this woman has worked her ass off since she was like nine years old to get to where she is.
