I still feel a little unclear about parking, but this seems like a nice way to live if you don't need a car. I'm just assuming it's street parking or you don't have a vehicle.

"Higher level of housing density" very politely put😊 it's all about money money money squishing as many properties on one parcel as possible

@2:12 that high peak is akin to a pigeon coop at Branch Avenue Metro. Bad design, pigeons everywhere, dead pigeons, and pigeon poop.

I once lived at the St. Andrews Bungalows on St. Andrews and Sunset near Western Ave. there are 16 houses. I lived there from 1995 to 1998. They were built we were told by one of the local studios for the actors back in 1919-1920. They were renovated in 1995 by Hollwoood Community Housing Corp for homeless and HIV/AIDS people. As far as I know they are still going strong.

I don't know how sold I am on this idea, but like everything else, this should be allowed. This is a part of the solution, even if a given person doesn't want this specifically.

Rather than installing a few plexiglass panels the lacmta should have totally enclosed the area bus station and all, similar to what bart did in the bay area.

BC's can't be (re)instituted untill the parking conundrum is solved. like it or not, each unit needs at least one stall, and without on-site parking, the only option is street, which is inadequate along with a host of other issues. and nearby parking lots / structures would offset the density gains entirely.

At almost 70 years old, I've seen pictures of me as a baby in front of a court in East L.A. Here in Central Oregon we have the 21st century equivalent although it's not set up as a court. The small houses are set up more randomly but one can still tell they are all made to be together. The old movie 'He Walked By Night' shows a court in detail.

They're called neighborhoods and geewhiz we dont want to know our neighbors and be involved with others. Too bad because that's what actually made the country cohesive.

I used to LOVE walking through Village Green in LA. Always wanted to live there. It was so peaceful and green, it felt save and "tucked away" from the hustle and bustle. I eventually got my wish, sort of.... but in Nevada. I live in a tiny neighborhood tucked in the mountains.... it's so wonderful living in a very green space with nice neighbors. Not everyone is cut out to live in an ant hill apartment complex, but that's obviously where the highest profits are, so we'll see more and more dense housing taking over in the future. Yes, we need to save the bungalow courts. From investors.....

LA should trial days where you can only use public transport, carpool or and open roads to bicycles only. Emergency services will be quicker because of less traffic
