It won't be long ... I can see very soon all of the smart KZread creators will want to be ready when the Hollywood $$ realizes it will need KZread as a partner. Gabriel will be the go-to agent connecting those smart YT creators with the legacy Hollywood movie makers!
Aw thanks!
Creator economy is it my friend. Everyone is concerned people are watching more KZread than watching pay platforms. There was a movement for Emmy's to include creator-based Emmy's.
Yeah I think pretty soon traditional awards shows could start to include online content since a ton of it is really well produced
"He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche I'll definitely be watching your journey, personally I think Hollywood is a cesspool trying to capitalize on the genius of young creators, but you clearly have a plan.
Thank you! Yeah I think Hollywood has had a bit of a rough reputation and for good reason tbh, but I’m hopeful that things are changing!
Hollywood needed to switch to adapting anime successfully a long time ago to appeal to Asian audiences who have more money now.
Yeah definitely embracing anime is one way Hollywood can create films and shows people care about
I was working in the radio industry in late 90s and watched its slow demise, so when I was working in the film industry in Vancouver a few years ago I could see that it was about to go in the same direction as radio. I feel bad for the people who are losing their jobs, but I'm excited about the future for true creators 🎥🎬😎👍
Thanks for sharing! That’s a really cool insight. Yeah any kind of change is painful but I think our saving grace as humans is our ability to adapt so I’m excited for the possibilities new technologies bring!

I liked where you said that studios don't know how to reach an audience, not knowing what they like!
The content is good but you should up your thumbnail game to gain more traction.
Yeah I know learned my lesson from this video 😆
Very valuable and important information for all of us at any point in our lives! It's apparent how much research and organization went into this video. Looking forward to the next one!
You tha man. Great CONTENTTT lol
I like what you said life being a challenge because we need this in order not to be bored with life!
Yeah it's easy to latch onto the idea that the perfect life would be one free of friction or work, but that wouldn't actually be the most enjoyable existence, at least not for me
prettttty shallow evaluation of all this but you basically got it covered yeah

It's also the acting, some of these new actors don't put in much of the effort either. Movies don't even give out moral lessons that we need to learn in life. Nobody is creative anymore sadly, movies/shows are supposed to take us away from the real world but they always have to go so political or sometimes controversial to the point were the movie or show isn't art anymore. That's why Hollywood is losing a lot of money and the audience. (Well, some of its audience) You did a great job with explaining the problem with Hollywood. Also, AI and fan fiction writers are being hired to rewrite things, unfortunately.
Bingo. These modern actors don't have the screen presence and je ne sais quoi that previous actors had. Stars like Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro for example had a certain on-screen charm that I simply don't see with today's actors. It's like they all have the presence of a cardboard box or something. They're just "blehhh" to me. No rawness. Movies don't have heart anymore either. They used to leave you in a better mood and hopeful about life after you watched it. People used to quote lines and scenes became cultural moments. I don't see that anymore with post-2010 movies.
have you been off internet or something?. " i once saw him kill 3 men in a bar with f*cking pencil" and multiple thanos quotes were everywhere. pretty much all of his lines are still being used for memes. endgame was probably the biggest cultural moment in human history..and that might seem as an exaggeration but it's really not. cause movies before the internet era were pretty much limited to western audience. even something like star wars was limited to western audience..some enthusiasts prob would've watched western movies but the audience were mainly limited to the Western hemisphere. MCU got so much popularity that everyone were waiting for endgame..easily the biggest cultural moment in cinematic history. MCU is dogshit now. definitely. they're absolute garbage. but i swear people have the memory of a goldfish. people who dunk on MCU forget how prominent they were till 2019 @@coolida23511
I loved Dune 2, it was an epic. At the same time I think we have seen better blockbusters recently. I don't think it's the outlier everyone claims it is
I think a big part of the love shown towards the movie is that it’s also a financial success. Inside Hollywood it’s a widely referenced movie, since it’s artistic but also commercial. But I agree I think in a normal environment it wouldn’t be seen as an outlier, but there have been few movies like it that have been commercially successful.
Perfectly Summarised 👏👏👏
like stories of old........
Love his channel
Great video!
Thank you!
Even Jerry Seinfeld made a recent shitty movie to call his own 😅
Well he made a shitty show so only makes sense he'd make shitty movies !

Thank you for doing your part in saving cinema 🫡

A24 has a lot of terrible movies no one will be talking about in 5 years time so 🤷♂️
Well that’s subjective, but considering people are still talking about films they produced five years ago, I would disagree with your statement.
Srsly ? A24 is the only production giving quality films !
99% of superhero films are utter crap no one will talk about in 5 years. If they can keep pumping them out why not A24?
DUNE 2 felt also Soulless.
No it didn’t bro😂
Ummm no
@@galaxymoonlqght3732 do you like Interstellar and Inception?
@@darioscomicschool1111 yes
@@galaxymoonlqght3732 why? Interstellar, Dune and Inception suffer from the Same Problem. The Idea is kinda cool, the Execution is grand. But the plot and theme is sometimes so weak and it doesn't create the Viewer audience Bond. Interstellar starts Strong, and in the middle of the movie it is just horse dung and jobberish, and they try to fool "smart audience" by turning up the Volume of words (like the wachoswkis did in Matrix 2 with the bs architect) and the hanz zimmer score. Some get lost in that storm of pretentious words and think: "this must be smart!". But it's Nolan winging his crap. And it sucks when the Mainstream says, its a MASTERPIECE. That's a lie. And i don't like lie's being promoted as truth. You can enjoy the movie. But don't hype it, if its not that good.
I saw Guardians of the Galaxy III on the high seas. It was touching, or actually, it was “touching” and I forgot about it an hour after I watched it. I felt a bit like even James Gunn was working off an emotional script: sad music, cute animals, maudlin over acting in a cg smorgasbord. Just a bit too glib. Nice try. I saw Dune Part I and was fascinated. I saw dune Part II and became obsessed. People have described Paul’s speech to the war council as an almost religious experience. Maybe that’s a bit much but I definitely had an experience and I was swept up in the rapture and the horror of the story. Movies today are soulless and movies like Dune remind me what watching movies used to feel like.
Yeah Dune is great! Interesting point about Guardians 3, I watched and liked the first two but wasn’t interested in the 3rd one I guess
@@GabrielCarusetta It isn't a bad movie at all but I've noticed that James Gunn has a way of creating emotional reactions with melodramatic set pieces with what I feel are underhanded ways. They're not new techniques: sad music, slomo flashbacks and appeals to universally sensitive situations: sick mothers, animal cruelty, cruel fathers, death of a relative, etc. If you've seen Peacemaker you'll see a few examples. One is a scene where Peacemaker is having a flashback where he kills his brother because his dad had goaded him, all to a sentimental 80s deep cut. Very sad, very maudlin and very intentional. Does it create a reaction? Sure but I've seen him do this in most of his movies and yet somehow some of the characters feel like they're played for effect. Call me cynical but many of those scenes don't feel earned but contrived.
Who tf cares what Jerry "what is the DEAL with" "grooming teen girls" Sienfeld thinks????
If you’re quoting Seinfeld whinging as a source of expert testimony then I’m not sure I can trust your judgment lol
Is he wrong?
You’re kind of a prick aren’t you?
He might be unserious, but he ain't wrong.
@@chrisjfox8715yes he is wrong. There has always been a few good movie releases and mostly everything else s*it. Only difference now is there's more s*it because streaming services are just trying to make content.
I don't think that's really what he said. He said "EVEN Seinfeld", which kind of implies that he's the least likely one to realize it.
This was great
Why see a film when you can just participate in being confused and disorientated.
For real it's cheaper
@@GabrielCarusetta I think it also has to do with the fact that we used to be a print based society, but now we’re a screen based society. All the ppl in the film industry used to read but now all the ppl at every level making movies are addicted to their phones 📱

A very compelling thesis about the importance of risk in any successful enterprise including creative ones.
Hey Gabe, it's Isaiah again, good job on the video! You did mention the producers and shareholders having more say over movies, which I don't feel like is an inherent problem in of itself, I feel like the heart of the issue that you're trying to highlight is that generally producers/shareholders/ceo don't really understand making movies that well (correct me if I got you wrong). Which brings me to a point I'd like to highlight as somewhat the reverse; I don't think many directors/artists get business very well. It's not the heart of the problem but I feel like it certainly adds to the list of stuff that's boggling movies down nowadays. A good amount of directors who do have creative control clearly don't have good business mindsets, like Ridley Scott with his Napoleon have a good amount of scenes that legitimately weren't necessary, and could've been cut to make the film less expensive to make. Napoleon firing cannonballs at the pyramids brings is probably the biggest example I can think of, ignoring the fact that it's extremely historically inaccurate as Napoleon took great pains to preserve Egyptian history and culture for research purposes, while also making napoleon in the film look like a total maniac, I'd imagine that such a worthless scene took quite a bit of money to produce. That or Ridley and Scarpa could've just had it focus on a very specific battle of Napoleon's life (which would've made it a more focused and less costly film) instead of having the film rush around many many battles and require so many setpieces and CGI. While having producers/shareholders being not terribly competent isn't something that we really can have that much of an effect on even if we become big name artists, I feel like alleviating the issues on our own end on the artistic side will at least help us quite a bit in this regard.
Some good points! Yeah sometimes a business decision can also help make the movie better. I think what I was trying to get at with this video isn't really that this is the fault of individual studio executives, CEOs, or producers, but rather that Hollywood has been transformed completely over the past 10 years, and as the movie making process has changed I think there's been a drop in quality. Will try and explain my thoughts better in a future video I'm working on since I'm still researching and thinking about it!
You did very good at explaining the truth about what is going on in Hollywood! Also explaining to all of us that we each have our own experience about watching movies in theaters!
Thanks! Yeah that's what I love about movies
