Outside the Old Town, Brasov is a typical ex-communist city, all ugly brutalist concrete monstrocities. Only the historic part is attractive.

Jeez, finnally a fellow doesn't-like-tomatoes mate! I've never ever eaten tomatoes in my hometown, but when I was to Bucharest, god, I fell in love with their veggies. Those tomatoes were the sweetest and the most tender red plums I've ever seen. I really enjoyed your video. You have that charisma and kind heart that you can see beyond screens. Keep going!

Well, every city has its personal vibe. I love Girona more than Barcelona for example. :) This is sacrilege if people hear my opinion. :)) Some people search for peaceful cities, others for noisy cities, others for food, others for music, etc. :) Anyways, Brasov is top 10 for me, but of course I hadn't visited all the cities of the world. :))
Nice video, you should also visit Delta Dunarii, Iasi, Timisoara, Sibiu, Targu Mures, Maramures, Cluj.. there are a lot of beautiful places but not all can be visited in winter.

@@OhYesTravels You can visit Maramures, Sibiu, Cluj, mountain resorts, if you like snow, I liked the Romania playlist of youtubers JetLag Warriors, they were in Romania several times and visited a lot of places, had road trip with rented car and it was perfect way to travel. If you need inspiration you can check them. Safe travel !
Sibiu, Brasov, Piatra Neamt, Prahova Valley full of mountain resorts - these are the best in wintertime. I recommend using trains, it's safer and more beautiful anyways, Romanian roads are the most dangerous in Europe. Yeah.. plenty of people from Romania does speak english or at least they understand your english (in many cases). But that happens especially with the younger people. The people from 40 or 45+ years up (age wise) / olders ..not as much or not as often in comparison 😁
I need to learn Romanian, however I must admit, I find it a difficult language to learn.
13:29 I recommend also visiting cities like: Sighișoara / Cluj / Oradea or Iași and also Timișoara 👍 For sure you gonna find stuff / things to like or love visiting those places / cities too 😉

The football teams in Craiova got a bit complicated. 😄 There used to be just one ..but now there are two football teams in the town. But from those 2 ..there is still one fairly strong called Universitatea Craiova. Currently on the 3th place in the championship / first league (they are aiming even for the 2nd place in the rankings because the 2nd placed team ( called CFR Cluj ) is just 2 points away from Craiova). While the other team for Craiova (two teams in the same city but with different owners) is on the 9th place. Edit: Maybe that's why someone told you that one sucks. He was probably thinking at the one from the 9th place 😂 ..or he was a fan from the rival team (that is currently on third place in the romanian championship).

I can't get over how much of that historic city has been defaced by graffiti. I would be outraged if i lived there. Such a beautiful place shown such little respect by its people.
Yes it's very sad that people do that.
Now it looks better, I lived and went to high-school the center of Brasov. Back in the day 1990 - 2007 the buildings were so gray and bad looking, almost like ruins, and graffiti was everywhere. Nowadays they received loads of EU funds to support the Tourism industry, it's a great city but if you're young and in search for fun things to do you'll get bored fast as the historical town is very small and 90% of Brasov is actually communist factory workers buildings. The mountains are great, loads of good trails if you like nature.

I’ve stayed in Brasov! It was fantastic! Nice people! Super cheap to visit! Beautiful vistas and close to Dracula’s castle, which we did a Halloween party at. We also went to Bucharest and Siguesoara (sp?).

Could be better, too much graffiti and not enough being done regarding restoration of the old buildings, is my home town and I love it, and yes while visiting a new country don't stick to the main route, try left or right, you might see some things other than "regular" turist sightseeing. Romania is a great place and safe to visit in general, most of the annoying beggars are abroad 😂
We loved it. We are going to video some less touristy areas in Romania soon 👍

As a Romanian who has travelled a bit I have to say I wouldn't put Brasov as "the most beautiful city in Europe" but definitely up there. Maybe when the council manages to renovate all the historical buildings it will be :)
Some of the building do let it down a bit. But it defo has character 💯🤩👍

Actually a lot of people heal their modern diseases by replacing the "vegetable" (modern) oils with good old animal oils. Our bodies just process those better for reasons that should be obvious 🙂
