There's a ton of ships that can't really be flown solo until we get NPC crew and blades, the Retaliator is far from alone in that respect. Torpedoes, shields, and other components have all been nerfed down to a common baseline for now in preparation for further balancing, you just need to wait for a few patches. Every patch cycle makes a certain ship or two pretty useless until related systems have been addressed, it's just the Retaliator's turn at the moment.

@@VerifiedGoneGaming CIG stated if you got a retaliator prior to invictus just submit a ticket and they will fix it to have the bomb bays at no cost. Then you should have just obtained the cargo ones saving money. If you only buy the base model it has no mods and need to be obtained though the RSI story during the sale. All ships and content released to the PU after announced are always limited to those who buy them from RSI store for the first few weeks. Then they later release the ships and mods to buy in game with aUEC. CIG has never changed this and has been done for every ship ever launched for years.
@VerifiedGoneGamingАй бұрын
I think you’re missing some key facts. The ticket was only for Retaliator Bomber, not the base. Second, you can’t swap them for cargo ones. You have to BUY both to swap them in game. And each module costs as much as an individual ship. That’s stupid. These modules should cost $5-$20 each. Or just include all of them with the purchase of a $175 ship. It’s dumb to make this cost equal more than a Connie with a docked ship, more firepower, and more cargo. It’s just stupid and predatory ways of looking for money. Last, we’re talking past each other. It’s true that CIG has always launched ships for in game purchase later BUT they have never done this with modules, and it’s stupid. Are you really arguing that this predatory monetary scheme is good? Can we not just agree that this is rude to do to longtime backers?

@@majorl33t Ok, we both essentially agree on this. But I don't want you to lose my point just because CIG has programmed our expectations: We are all doing their jobs for them as alpha players. The Tally isn't one of those ships for me. As such, I just want to buy my stuff. I think they would have sold the same number of cargo & bomb bays had they just offered them for sale both IN and OUT of game. There is no reason to have waited to launch them INSIDE of the game except to try and wring every penny out of players. and I think that's the kind of toxic behavior that has driven players away from the game and I want to see it changed. @@VerifiedGoneGaming yeah, either of these are annoying, the main frustration comes from where just SOME doors are manual. I like the Hull A as nearly all of them are lockable, though you can’t lock them open 😆
Why are ground vehicles so expensive with real $$$?
I'd rather be dropping bombs than making $$$
The stupidest thing was using the retaliator to showcase modularity when they've been talking about how the caterpillar was set up for modularity
This is an excellent point. Or Just releasing the Galaxy so they aren’t retrofitting an old ship.
Retaliator should have never had modules
Agreed, or at least offer more modules.
We're 12 years in to development (14 if we accept Chris statement that he spent '1.5-2 years' on preproduction). The excuses about 'wait for X' are wearing very thin
Especially when the ship WAS flyable. And they could have offered the modules IN GAME. It's a clear money grab.
Breaks my heart also but have faith that MM is in a transitional state and the dust will settle soon
This summarizes it for me as well. It just sucks right now, which is why I made a video.
CIG sells the Retaliator Base...does everyone a solid and gives them the bomber despite the MUCH cheaper price. Now everyone complains they don't have what they didn't pay for. GTFO, you broke your ship, not CIG. The modules weren't missing in game for that long (days, not even weeks) and they were the first modules CIG has done in game.
I'm sorry, but paying $150-$175 isn't a "solid." Also, I knew full well I'd have to buy the modules IN GAME. In fact, I looked forward to that outcome. I fully expected it AFTER the Galaxy. It's just a blunder they could have easily avoided by at least messaging/communicating more. I don't understand why people can't say "you know what would have been nice, talking with people who have spent hundreds of dollars on your game."
@@VerifiedGoneGaming You did get exactly what you paid for when they split the base Tali and the Tali bomber though. Should the rest of us who paid more be just as hurt because we actually didn't get what we paid for for a few days because the modules weren't available?
@@Sgt_Bilko Did you actually buy the bomber? And I hold to my earlier statement, you could have gotten what you wanted, but I could get my modules buyable in game. Make them 1mil aEUC each, I don't care. Or just make it so I can only get cargo modules. Anything is better than having a ship that is currently worth nothing.
Nothing is ruined read the patch notes and CIGs statement on spectrum. It was only a bug get over it
Bug?!? I can't buy the modules in game. The Retaliator Base is useless right now. Watch the video please.
@@VerifiedGoneGaming Just save the money and buy with uec when they let you. Just like I explained before, just like all content for the game. Announcement buyers get first access, later patch opens up everyone to get with auec...it is the same thing. Just hurry up and wait and fyi never sed you are forced to spend money that is always a choice.
@@majorl33t Ok, we both essentially agree on this. But I don't want you to lose my point just because CIG has programmed our expectations: We are all doing their jobs for them as alpha players. The thing most pledge players do is buy into ships so we can play them IMMEDIATELY at the start of a wipe. or We just don't want to grind in order to fly our favorite ships. I'm one of those people. We do not have to stand for that kind of behavior. And, I see it as my job as a content creator to push back against that behavior. What do you think about that approach?
you hunting in the wrong space if you cant find northrock bounties
Where did they move to? They used to be at Crusader and Hurston, did they move elsewhere? I also checked at ArcCorp.
Empty modules is so lame. I was sure id be losing the torpedoes that i loved but i thought they'd give me something in the modules not just a big empty space. Retaliator as a gunship with no modules is just a terrible experience. Nothing for the pilot to do
Agreed. At least just locked cargo space or something. I'd love to be able to just buy in game, or something. You could buy the Base for years without being able to buy modules, so this about-face is just wild to me.
They ruined the Tali the moment it went from the great concept interior to the mess of wasted space we got ingame when they first made it.
I mean... you're not wrong. But it is a cool ship regardless.
Why is the intro 400x louder than the rest of the video...
I'll fix that. Thanks for the feedback. I tried to fix the gain but it clearly didn't work well enough.
This game needs AI blades T0 and NPC crew so urgently.... But what it needs more is a stable build, servers with more than 2 server fps, item auto stacking... 3.23 is pure shit atm
Or at least selling the modules in game as a bridge. It's such an easy fix.
There should be weapons controll for the pilot like on the C1 fir it if its a cargo varient niw.
Precisely. At least one of the turrets and then just hand it one of the torp bays.
Makes post about the Retaliator being broken, ignores that goldpass is coming later this year and fixes pretty much everything broken with it right now.
OMG. The ship is broken RIGHT NOW. How is this so hard to understand for people. I am a content creator. I'm not making content about how the game WILL be. That's hopes and prayers and CR's farts. I care about the game right now. And the ship I spent $150 on is a useless piece of trash right now.
It's one of my favorite ships, top 5 for sure. It could be top 3, but give me a reason to use it. Too many things are wrong with it currently. The Gold Pass Quality Control is a let down for sure.
Indeed. They could have just waited until it was finished. I do not understand how other people cannot buy into this point. Especially people who don't even own one or don't even like the ship. It's genuinely a bit mindboggling to me.
The Gold Pass; more like a brass pass. If this is the future of Gold Pass, then zero joy. They removed the floor hatch, (except it is still underneath, from outside) an replaced ity with an ugly-ass grate. I was expecting better. The Base model empty "cargo" areas should be useable as storage, without any module, they just wouldn't have elevators. The front hold is nearly twice the size of the rear, but only holds TWO more SCU?... Clearly nothing wrong there... right?
@@zantrag It's not even the gold pass, that's currently being worked on. Which is the ridiculous thing for me, why break something that was working? I just don't get it. Also, I had the same thoughts about cargo holds, but the first isn't actually bigger on the ground, look at the map of the ship, it just has side bubbles for torpedoes, which is why many of us have argued they should just add those bubbles for the back.
LOL! What a click-bait BS. The modularity is what the Retaliator is all about. Besides, I'm going to use this as a heavy-duty exploration ship as soon as the crew facilities are released.
AS SOON AS THEY ARE RELEASED. See, that's why it's not clickbait, my main man. The bomber had a purpose. The base is now actually useless unless you pay more money to buy the cargo modules you couldn't buy for years. We'll also have to wait to see what "exploration" even looks like. And "crew facilities" are no where on the road map for the tally, only the Galaxy, so please don't hold your breath.
How do you get a free Arrow?
Pledge a Freelancer. I have a bunch of videos about it. Here's the list of loaners though: us.citizen-logbook.com/loaner-ship-matrix.html
to bad for you, Good for the verse because they need to remake that ship. it's ugly and does not fit in... if you reading this...IM JOKING you damn loon!
What a load of bull this video is. You know the game is in alpha. major stuff is not in or fixed nor balanced for a launch 1.0 state. ALso you dont have to spend a single penny on any of the modules or the ship, it will ALL be available ingame at some point. Every ship will... This is something u should know as a SC player.
BUT IT'S NOT RIGHT NOW. There was no reason for them not to with the Tally. Only money. And we don't have to stand by and say "well, I paid $175, here's another $60 to have a point to owning the ship I just bought."
@@VerifiedGoneGaming What do you mean but for them not to? should they not put it to gold standard and do other ships isntead. Just because the ship was insanly OP in the current alpha and they chose YOUR favorite ship, you gonna make a rant about it xD? Every ship will get this treatment in the future. Also as i mentioned everything will be in the game for ingame cash that isnt rly hard to aquire.... You are making a problem out of nothing cus they made your favorite ship not to your liking. You should join that SaltEmike guy that only cries and whines about the game all the time :D
