House of Medics

House of Medics

The House of Medics is a group of professionals who either work in the healthcare industry or are passionate about healthcare.

Our members are doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, radiographers, paramedics, mental health professionals, researchers, students… the list goes on!

Professional bodies and societies were originally social constructs that acted as support systems for their members, and provided a sense of belonging. We want to bring that back to medicine.

We also noticed a lack of opportunity for young people of different specialties and disciplines to genuinely interact. Each Royal College seems to cater to a small group of people - which of course has its advantages - but since we all work together and often have the same struggles, we believe the House of Medics must be multi-disciplinary.

This is a fabricated medical lie. It disturbs me when they use Blk dermatologists to dishonor the melanin in our dark skin. I am sorry, but there is a Living God who created melanin as a protection from the rays of the sun. The sun does not cause those light spots. I know people who do not expose their legs to the sun and have them. They think if they say it, the people should believe them despite their own experiences 🤦🏾‍♀️.

My grandmother had it. I’ve had it since my 20’s. It’s not from sun exposure. It’s probably hereditary. I adore my character spots.💕

Well I shouldn't have none of my legs then because I'm always out of the Sun I have them my auntie have them what's my grandmother had them I don't think she do because when I first seen them I was at my auntie's house and we were in her den and she had her legs up on her table across you know across the table with her feet crossed what what are those and she said they are old age spots she said you might get them too she said but your light skin so it probably won't happen oh yes he did soon as I got 40 LOl I sure do have them and I think they're hereditary too because like I said my grandmother had them before she passed away my auntie got them is she said if you stay out of the Sun I'm always in the house so I should have none but I really don't think the Sun have nothing to do with it just a pigmentation in the skin when you get older it's just called getting older and getting closer to death LOL and they're only on my legs😂

My grandma has this and so do I. I’m pretty young though so not sure why I’ve had it since my teens. I use to think it was vitiligo. Lol

If you ever get this try to rub raw aloe vera to your skin and rinse when it starts irritation also Griseofulvin. I went to ER in so much pain. After going to the barber for skin head and ended up with tinea capitis

… thank God. Ive seen a few of these light spots show up over the last 4 years. I was scarred it might be the beginning stages of vitiligo. I would be so devastated if my shim was no longer brown. Peace, comfort and blessing to all people who have devastating skin conditions. 🤎🙏🏾🤎

I have pale skin, that tends to immediately turn red, in the sun. More than other people. Almost looks a little swollen. I’ve heard this is heat edema. What does that mean,How do you treat it?

I thought Angioedema was not an allergic reaction and usually related to a ACEi. Not usually fixed by steroids Benadryl and Epi. Obviously we still give it but due to a completely different pathway.

It’s autoimmune from fungal overgrowth. You have to change your diet and lower bad flours and carbs and highly heated oils and processed chemicals. So don’t put more chemicals like sunscreen on your skin! The Tio2 nano particles in sunscreen is toxic and goes into your organs! Chemical sunscreen blocks VITAMIN D. Organic Olive Oil or organic Coconut oils are natural sunscreens and not only allow the desperately needed VITAMIN D into your skin… the oils are necessary for the conversion of vitamin D! Get off the restaurant and processed food! Hydrate, eat veggies and fruits and Get out in the sun!
