    Unfortunately there will not be a tutorial until the game is fully released or almost released, the reason for this due to changing nature of development and the making of mechanics along with it the developers do not want to bog down development and risk some of the tutorials becoming inaccurate. On the building point, the game does have a workshop in which you can post your building modules to the public for other players to use and you yourself can download some of these modules if you don’t want to spend to much time making the park nice.

    It's really weird to critizise a game that's made for building for the fact that you can build in it. If you don't like building things I don't think this game is for you, I would recomment to just play JWE cause the reason why I never played JWE is exactly cause you can't build anything yourself! Also If you just want to build the enclousures and no buildings you can download stuff that other people made from the Steam workshop. Also there is a grid for placing objects but you can enable and disable it (in your video you had it disabled which is why I didn't work) One thing I have to admit is that I'm currently missing hotkeys for many things considering placing such as angle snap or align to surface. Also spending an hour on a single building is not a lot xD, I've spend 10 hours and more on buildings (not in this game but Planet Zoo) before

    Guys, just saying that i made it! But u need to be near to 45% (with 2 diet) Because the movement speed on land is very precious! if u are too small, u will be very slow so u must be near to 45% grow. Don't use your stamina on land (even to reach the ocean) only use it IN the ocean. that's the only tip that i can tell u there. It's even better to full use your stamina just before reaching the beach! I hope u will make it, and see you in south plains!!

    I’m good with them starting out on unofficials only, but they need to eventually get to officials when the roster rounds out. I think they’ll also give some community servers a chance to gain a following

    For anyone wondering, it's possible to make it as a 45% grown deino ; I did it but it's very tight and you'll need to use your stamina wisely. One tip is to use you stam in the water until it reaches around 60% (the dino's toes on the stam icon), and do the final dash in the water before youu get to the beach in front of the pond with all of your stamina ; you need to spend all of your remaining stam in the water before reaching the beach, at the end of the first part of your trip, as it is the most efficient way to use at in terms of stam spent per ground covered. And also, don't panic, be confident, and you should also use an interactive map like islemaps.com to correct yourself if you get off track, making sure you're using the most efficient route possible. Hope this helps!

    I have massive respect for RP'ers. For example when a carnivore is eating a body, and a bigger carnivore comes along to contest the body by 3-calling. The smaller carnivore can either 4-call and give up the body, or also 3-call which starts a fight between the two. Unfortunately most players don't behave like this, the bigger player just kills-on-sight, there's no interaction or realistic scenarios played out... PvP boils down to doing what is most optimal regardless of realism or not.

    What I really would like to see would be a remaster of Operation Genesis; maybe it's cuz I was young, but that game did a good job of balancing creativity and park management with accessibility. JE Evo just didn't really capture that feeling for me, and I'm witholding judgement on Prehistoric Kingdom until I try it out.

    I honestly think that a big problem with PK is that people expect it to just be reskinned Jurassic World evolution when in reality it is much more like Planet zoo. IDK if you played Planet zoo but the style of game is really similar, the building is a very crucial aspect. If you don't like the building there are the in game prefabs or if you are on steam you can download prefabs from the workshop and just use those to avoid the building part. Another issue is the tutorial, since the game is still in early access the tutorial that used to be in game became obsolete very quickly, currently there is the help menu (the ? on the left panel) which isn't great. The devs are working on a better tutorial system right now, which would be based on sort of like quests that take you through the game. The whole point about simplifying the gameplay and building is understandable however that could lead to the game becoming too simple and not allowing for all the creativity that it allows currently and could further allow into the future. The devs listen to feedback on their official discord server (except for animal suggestion because they already have a set of animals they want to add) and we did try to think of a few ideas to improve the building for newer players without compromising what is already there. If you need any help with anything while the game is being worked on you can always just ask on the official discord server, some people even made guides on steam while we wait for a better tutorial. There is also the option that this game might just not be for you if you don't like building and the creative freedom the game relies on.

    @@kickerwhitelion7626 thank you for the detailed comment :) Yeah the game is still early access so there will be changes of course, the tutorial will help and building while it’s cool to be so complex, I recommend a simpler way of advanced building, but not deleting the current precise movement. Kinda more intuitive if that makes sense. Like stairs aligning and objects aligning easier or something. But leaving the precise movement for builds will help people create awesome stuff. I also didn’t know about the workshop, that’s very cool!

    @@mrbeardmTV I feel like the grid system is good enough for making simple buildings. There is also a world grid for the whole map if you want everything to line up perfectly, at least for builds, paths and fences don't work on a grid. Paths probably need the most work.

    What exactly do you mean if it comes? I would say the AI in this game is quite good at this point (they upgraded it a couple of updates ago)

    On hoardtest u can get the salt water mutation then instead of going to the little lake you can go to the dibble sanctuary area and then go to the lake that connects to the river from there

    I don’t agree, the game adding mechanics so each dinosaur is more complex and interesting isn’t forcing you to do anything, just because carno can use its charge doesn’t mean you have to use its charge, it’s just an advantage and another tool for your kit Also, migration zones aren’t an issue, they incentive exploration of the map, and you get rewarded with food, thing is right now they are quite flawed because they don’t fix they problem they were intended to fix, which is hotspots It’s not that the game wants you to act like a dinosaur, it’s that evrima, while trying to “fix” issues with legacy, made it worse

    I think this game would greatly benifit from aome PvE. I dont mean PvE as in "no one can attack each other" i mean it as "Player vs Environment." If they want us to behave like dinosaurs, make behaving in that way fun! I do think this video kinda made it sound like that's impossible, but k het the point. At the state of the game now, it isnt fun. The only time the game is fun is when you are soing something- and the only time you are doing something is often when you're fighting. Give us environmental stimuli. Give us more interesting ai- even if it isnt commen. Give us weather that matters more than a sinple 'its a bkt harder to see' give us flooding, droughts, ect. These environmental pressures would have people moving- and things like flooding could make crocs more dangerous for a time, when droughts might catch them out without a big enough body of water to hide in if they weren't careful. Thusly, other creatures who didmt want to die to these crocs, or perhaps wanted to prey on them, would interact accordingly.

    2:48 Do not wanna complain, but saying "forcing the player" makes it sound as if having these mechanics, making the dinosaurs feel more different or even unique, would be a bad thing? Not that you were implying it, but what would specific playstyles for each dinosaur "forcing" the player more than having the choice between classes in an RPG or unit types in an milsim game? 3:12 About the migration zones: You know that in Spiro at certain times it was a big problem that the majority of the map felt empty, because over 50% or even more of the server population were spending the whole day (or timespan of their respective sessions) on one spot, forcing all the players to either hang around these spots or walking alone without any encounter for hours. You might have the total freedom to be whereever you wanted, but as a carnivor, esepcially when AI was not respawning or not giving enough food, you were constantly force to walk around against the starving clock. While at the beginning that was also still a problem with gateway, it was only due to the fact that so many migration zones were not established yet, but now I have always an encounter every 30 minutes, if I do not deliberately choose a remote place, where I can speculate to have at least an hour for me (and nesting pals)! I think you are overly stressing this dichotomy without having a middle-ground in mind. If you give 100% Agency to the player when it means you give them NOTHING, what they have to actually work for! Survival needs to be earned, or it is just existing! Players got bored on Spiro and were KOsing and attacking for no reason, because there was nothing preventing or incentivizing to not to. The other extreme is to give the player tasks, goals or areas to be at certain times to keep them busy moving and not giving them time to hang around and relax at a spot with the danger to make the whole experience feel like grind or stress all the time! I personally think the only problem is to balance that experience in a way that it does not feel like a choir, but keeps the player on foot and also enable them to either relax or divert from an area for a while (which is necessary for some migration zones, since they have no water source). So I have to kindheartedly disagree with your analogy with a tesla driver. At least for me that is not how it feels.

    You don't even need to force players to conform to being animals like this. migrations and shit is something the evolved to do with reason. Many games manage to simply simulate the environment of an animal, and before you know it, meta player be moving in herds and migrating to green grass. Look at games with trade routes for instance. This shop sells this cheap, and buys this at a high price. Boom. Everyone and their mom is now perfectly nestled into the trade route caravan life style. That was all it took. (it would probably help if they made simply surviving more fun.)

    Additonal ideas. for the first idea. When raining and the intensity is high like monsoon or slightly less of it there could be some temporal water pits or small ponds to drink from. Some animals travelling large distances and sometimes you find yourself in a place where there is no water at all. This could be an interesting gameplay feature because it creates extra living spaces for animals that does not migrate too often. Ai birds would be an interesting addition either hunt them for food or let them bring fish to you also expand on the idea there could be much more type of animals for food supply like small mammals, lizards, creatures that can potentially dangerous to small tier animals. Floods and droughts could work well but these needs a more dynamic water and much better interaction with the water levels. Currently this is a static thing in the Isle and just like rains it does not add extra water nor droughts lowering the water levels. This possible could be implemented if they totally rewrite the code in this part and animate the water or use the engine fluid system better. Trees like in this game also static objects and the interaction with them is shallow. It is not a human survival game where you can chop down a tree and build logs, planks out of it. This could be an interesting addition but the dinosaurs whom moving are active objects while the tree is a static mesh. The problem the game uses a lot of trees, bushes, other kind of vegetation and this could delay the development further because every single static mesh needs to be remade to be able to interact with the npc-player objects. The mating calls can be implemented possible one plus extra sound to each animal, additionally injured animals or animals in panic could do a different call depending on their fear/injured meters. Out of the many ideas this one seems to be the easiest to implement. The number 6 idea also neat possible with some masking changes it could be done by adding blur or shadows, possible can be implemented via unreal 5 lumen system. Depends on if they want or not put this extra effort to look much more like. It could benefit the hunt and avoid th prdators. Also it could interact with the size of animals for example on an open field a Hypsi or Compi could be invisible basically because they can blend well to the long grass. It could be also color-skin dependant and how small or large an animal is. A T-Rex for example hardly can hide in the forest since it is not a forest dweller only a semi. It could hide inside a large rock or a dense vegetation waiting for herbivores to come close. The extra idea for alarm could work either added music or sound effects to warn the player if they are close to something what they did not detected first. Altered the idea humans could build traps, countermeasures to avoid predators or unwanted creatures.

    as for the first idea alone i have quite a good point, you know there is this game animalia survival, basicly evrima in africa with animals. the map could react to weather more dynamicly. given the terrain has the potential, when hard rain falls some of the terrain could actually start to carry water making it possible to create temporary ponds, rivers and water passages. also when theres no rain falling for a given time the water level will drop or the ponds even dry out. in animalia survival ponds water level also decreases when animals drink from it edit: oh damn. your point 3 is basicly what i wrote lol

    i think its bc i always do the same cycle, spawn go to the most poblated area and eat the 3 nutrients scavenging then go to a bush and afk for 30 mins to go drink and afk till u hungry , thats it until u get to adult stage then u start enjoying the game fighting everything until u die and repite the whole cycle i think if u spawn as adult from the start i would enjoy the game a lot more bc i skip the growing part wich its really boring when u already explored all the map

    @@sku4d_942you should def stop afk growing and start exploring even as a juvenile, I always do that and I have a lot of fun, either finding others to group with, watching the chaos from afar, escaping some pesky Herrera trying to catch me Also this is why they need to add sandbox back to evrima as soon as possible
