Unfortunately, the content that is incentivized is the one that produces the most engagement for advertising. I don't see any solution to this other than regulation because most people don't think critically and are susceptible to the sociological and psychological hacks being used.

my daughter was in a 6 person room and was miserable, the dorm at One Court is beautiful but very cramped, definitely not an option the school should have it, she got an apartment off campus for this year. Suffolk is an amazing school and she is enjoying the school itself but that dorming situation was ridiculous

Didn't she force a 26 year old savant who fought for pro public knowledge, for people like the young grads she's talking to, to kill himself? Why does she seem so happy?

Recent alumni here. The school is okay. Career center is utter waste of time though. School has zero connections on setting up students with internships, and some majors have an internship as a requirement. I ended up doing a sales door to door job and asked my employer to write up a fake review just so I could graduate. Oh, and I was Cum Laude student, applied for over 100+ internships around the city. After grad, took me a little over 1,000 job apps across all platforms to land my first role. I was a good student, with great grades, ISOM major & worked on campus all 4 years. Some of my smarter friends had to leave the city, as there are simply not enough jobs. Entry level jobs in Boston require 2-3 years of experience. Gosh, it was such a nightmare. Wish Suffolk actually did something to help students to land jobs & internships. I ended up getting a REALLY good gig though as my first job. It took me about 7 months though to find a job. The only reason I was hired because the hiring manager liked my ENERGY and it had nothing to do with Suffolk.

@@San-rl5yy Depends on what you want to study. There are some great professors and some really bad ones too. Getting a job will be hard. With so many colleges/students around, it's very competitive. Consider finding a job on campus to build out your resume. Finding a job outside the city is a lot easier. So, if you're local or got a car, it may be worth it. But first 2 years, just have fun. Most 101/201 classes are easy. I srsly got lucky after college. I landed a super good job that kick started my career path in analytics. But not everyone gets lucky. And I mean it, I got lucky. They liked my personality and the person who was supposed to be hired withdrew last second.

@@peexee752 I’m actually planning on doing my masters in Marketing. I’m guessing finding a job will be even tougher for me compared to a college student

@@San-rl5yy Well, no. Higher degree will make certainly make it easier. This, perhaps, will allow you to skip entry level jobs, as those are the ones all college students are aiming for.
