The Mirage is roughly the same as the F16, the -5 is the last version, it cost is quite similr to operate. The things is more about armament that will be provided with and spare part. Also Ukrainian fighter pilot are already train in France now so moving them to mirage is quite easy. They are already training on Alphajets and F16. The plane as quite good anti aircrft missile, good bomb droping and naval missiles. It has proved its reliability in 30 years of war and fight. The only problem is when they will be available.

The RAF intend to use Meteor in F35s and as such they are being adapted to fit the internal weapons bays though they already can potentially launch from pylons it is better to maintain stealth advantages. That combination is hard to detect and evade.

SU 35 pilots have now been able to train against opponents with F16s for almost a year. They should be able to cope with it. My tip: if a Su 35 is nearby, use the ejection seat.

The F35 negates any range advantage the meteor may have by being able to so much closer to its target before calling "Fox three" However, the Gripen E plus meteor combo is certainly world class
