Crows are bullies, they will literally find an opponent. Herons are peaceful and only attacks when threatened.

It was hilarious. I thought the Heron might know that the social crow probably had his grandad and his auntie nearby, and it's easier to ignore it than have his whole family join in the fun of harassment. The crow looks like it's enjoying tormenting that heron. Occasionally it's saying 'flap off' to the crow, the crow is saying 'pluck right off!'

What time of year was it? Crows are known to seize nesting material by plucking cows. It might be that they wanted some for the nest.

Foolish move by intruder swan into water. This is stance family of swans make (all do). Look at cygnets stance too (we family). Sure intruder flew into unoccupied territory or where gang of others are.

Good on the Swan for not reacting, they do have a rep for being a bit vicious if you encroach on their territory.

Leaving nest big step, water must be comparitivly cool. Trying to access mum/dad back after arriving on it guess thinking 'hitch lift, go with them whersoever' mum/dad would not let them hitch lift. Mum / dad have understanding of such do best for cygnets. Peace and harmony 📯.
