  This was very informative! I learned all the things I was doing "wrong" that I could correct to produce an even better crop. The flowers are just stunning. I'd like to see a chart that shows the suggested planting dates for each group, within growing zones (I'm 9A). Or by latitude or temperature of soil. I'd like to hear how to overwinter (plant in fall and & harvest in spring) lisianthus...Group 1?

  I would like to know if solarization is enough to combat fusarium? Does the actual high temp achieved, or the duration of high temp, change the relative success? It helps with some other things that are issues in my area, so it's what we're doing anyway, but I've heard mixed things about its efficacy with fusarium.

  It's worth it! I did a tray from plugs this spring without knowing any of this. In retrospect, I'm amazed I didn't kill them ten times over in my heavy clay, heavy rains, dense planting... Yeah. My stems weren't the most amazing ever, but they were surprisingly very nice and I sold every single one to customers who came back still gushing over them for weeks. I'd say, give a small number a try if you have a few square feet to spare, just to see if it's really as hard as it sounds. I don't think it is!

  I hace exacum affine, how can I do to keep my plant alive? Cause I’ve seen that the plant life is about 2 years? It is possible to propagate it from cuttings?

  Hi, 23:30 Can I ask a question about boiling Boron Solution part? I don't understand that part properly. So we need boil Boron solution everytime when we add to final feeding solution? How long do we need to boil? I mean boiling duration of that Boron solution? Can you explain me more about this? Where can I read that research or technic for that?

  This recommendation comes from Colorado State by Joe Hanan's group working on Carnations. Boron nutrition was first worked on in the 50's by Mastalerz who showed that boron was critical to prevent tip abortion under stress conditions - low light or high temperatures. Increasing the boron levels also improved petal color. Unfortunately, the published research on adding boron is limited or just commented on in the Colorado Greenhouse Growers Bulletin. When I was a faculty member at CSU in the early 80's Joe talked about how critical it was to boil the boron prior to adding it to the fertilizer barrel. Initially this was just done for borax but later, Joe recommended it for all forms of boron that were added. His experience was that failure to get the boron into solution prior to adding it to the concentrate barrel resulted in reduced boron in the final solution and therefore inadequate boron levels in the plants. By purposely recommending "always boil boron" the growers could 'see' that the boron was in solution prior to adding it to the concentrate tank where you couldn't see what was in the precipitate on the bottom of the barrel! The purpose of using a glass container is that it allows you to see if the boron is all in solution or if there are still solids in the bottom of the container. Usually, it only takes a couple of minutes once you are at the boiling point for the boron to be in solution. Once in solution it doesn't precipitate back out. This maybe an "old wives' tale" but it works... Remember that the final solution going out to the plants should be less than 1 ppm or boron toxicity can be an issue.

  This is really interesting thank you! Very good content well explained. If you were rooting in a dwc propagator would it be wise to not turn on the water untill you’re at stage c5/R1? Seems to make sense allowing it to form a callus first?

  At min 13:30 she says to have level 2-3 moisture level to stick, but the moisture in the soil in the photo is around level 2 and after 1 hour they wilt. I think the right level for TC for me should be around 3-4. Level 2 is way too dry

  Great video, lots of education information which i appreciate lot. I have question on the part of day 6-8 in the morning No wilt, does it mean No mist at all in the mornings. Second question when reducing the mist the frequency and duration, which the most ideal when using mechanical timer when rooting Duranta cuttings..
