2.5 doesn’t have any major problems with it. Most of the problems are on the 1.5/2.0. Stay away from the ecoboost engines

2013 Ford Taurus disconnected battery. Needed to calibrate steering angle sensor. Turn all the way right and left three times and center the steering wheel. Turn off the car and back on without starting with steering wheel centered for ten seconds. Give time for the computer to sync calibration with every step. The power steering can overheat a little when doing this so take it easy. It took me a few tries to get the procedure right. Some cars may need a scan tool to calibrate.

I can tell you have never owned one of these with the 3VZE and 5sp manual, and are not qualified to give a report on this vehicle. It does not have McPherson struts, and rear end sag can be remedied with cargo coils. This vehicle does not have rack & pinion steering, it has the steering gear box and power steer pump, which requires non-synthetic Dexron III conventional fluid from Toyota or Valvoline Dexron III. Do not mix synthetic with conventional fluid. Small leaks can be remedied with usually 1oz of ATP 205 reseal. How do I know? I am the second owner of a 1990 for 31 years and I have never needed to replace the factory steering pump or the gearbox after 310K miles. After I bought it coming off a lease (yes with a 5sp tranny) , I put 250K miles on mine. The mistakes common are putting inferior parts as replacements, which fail usually within a year. OEM new or decent used salvage OEM is a better choice depending on what fails. Sometimes it is better to re-build the failed part if its rebuild-able.

I have 2004 Prius still in use 2024, 20 years old. Touchscreen was replaced, cost about $120 with work, got the part from ebay for $80. Dealership would ask something like $1000+ for it, don't go for that. Hybrid battery was replaced when the car was 16 years old and had about 160 000 miles. Dealership refurbished would have been over $2500, i replaced it with 2013 Prius battery, $1150 with work, battery itself was $950 and got two year warranty for it. Funnily enough the $2000+ dealership refurbished battery only gives you 6 months warranty. Technically the vehicles is still 100%, it's my daily driver. Still get the same mileage. If your mileage starts to get lower, the reason can be 12V battery. I had 12V battery in bad condition and replacing it brought mileage back to normal, i guess the car had to use energy all the time to charge the 12V battery causing more fuel to be spent. Note, i have maintained the car very well with annual oil changes and maintenance program, so i'm pretty sure that has kept the car in good running order.

What about the dashboard lights going off on the 2011 model? I've had mine for almost a year and they go off over problems like the catalytic converter melting, coolant leaks, sub frame rusting, etc. They literally just came back on today. My car just keeps having problem after problem! Did I pick a bad year for this model?? 😂

Good day I have a 2016 jgc...I have noticed spongy brake pedal for a while...I bled the system and found that the 2 rear bleeding nuts only trickle with fluid when bleeding The front 2 wheels have a strong steady flow when undoing the bleed nuts Could it be one half of the tandem master cylinder to be defective? Please note that the 2 lines from master cylinder are connected to ABS pump module

I have 2023 Sportage X Line. Approximately at 12000 miles car started to shake so hard when I brake, it took them plenty of time to figure out what was the issue, dealership replaced rotors and everything was good, but not so long.. Now I have a little over 15000 miles and same problem is back. Squeaking noise every time i brake and car doesn't stop smoothly, jerking again on every traffic light. I don't understand how rotors that should run minimum 40000 miles went out second time with very low miles on odometer. Also transmission works very weird. It seems like car just doesn't understand when and what gear to choose, but they didn't find any issues... Im going to report this car as a lemon. My first and last Kia.

2017 Trailhawk with the 3.2l. only major issue i had was water leaking into the cab from the seams inside the cowl because the seam sealer had cracked. I had to take apart the whole passenger side to let the interior dry and find the leak.

I took my car to multiple mechanics for second, third, and fourth opinions but none of them is of a great mind apparently. All of them saying something different, im just wasting my time and money because NC seems to not have any good mechanics. Even the dealership is guessing. 😢 What happen to i don't guess i check, just big talks i see.

My Legacy blew a head gasket at 145K after the radiator hose cracked, the fluid leaked out and overheated the engine. I'm heartbroken! I had ever single suggested service on time at the dealer. The month prior, I was informed the tech noticed oil leakage (common for this model/mileage) and the engine should be resealed in time. My subframe also needs replaced due to rust. The cost of repair far exceeds the value of the car. I literally stood in the service bay and cried. I love my Subie but am soooo disappointed.

Thank for the ac relay tip. Previous owner of my acura told me ac didn't work. He said properly needed recharged. I schedule for recharged which estimated cost was $100+ dollar. I came this video and find out it was a $11.00 relay. Saved me a lot of money thanks.

Replacing the entire lower control arm is often more practical, you get a new ball joint as well, plus there's no hassle of removing / replacing the old bushings from the original arms.
