The nostalgia wave that just hit me. I had to stop doing dishes and just.. listen and reminisce.

I can still hear the birds cry, the turbulence roar, and the waves die down. I’m not sure why the leitmotifs are so ingrained but they are. It’s like the song has permanently encapsulated the ending of the movie. Every color. Every sound distinct. Even the cries and roars of the birds and the others. Compared to the other movies, this specific one has never waned. Audio, visuals, the varying cries, the movements. The end is permanently stuck in this song and anytime I hear the melody, it never fails to play back out.

My absolute favorite moment in this entire movie is during this song when lugia bursts up throught the ice and its song harmonizes with the music. It was details like that that make this movie one of my all time favorites.

Imagine if Gen 1 had 8 Regions as version-exclusives. Each with 250 unique species(2,000 in total). Each Region had its own League, but all share a post-game Pasio where all protagonists battle each other at a Champions' League for the PokeMaster titleship. Meanwhile, the Anime had 8 Region Arcs with different protagonists each(aired between 1996 and 2000), plus "Pokemon the Movie 2,000" as its series finale. And if all Pokemon appeared in this movie. After the year 2000, the Pokemon franchise would end as GameFreak would do something else entirely. How'd Pokemon have looked like from our altered memories? And how'd you all have liked it if it lasted for only 4 years?

Gabo2oo That is true what you say but this is true movie magic when Pokemon actually had a story and there was actual meaning in them such as. in 2000 "One person can make all the difference". The first had "We should see people not as different as something to control or destroy but to look upon our blue marble we call home and to realise that we all live in the same place, same air same earth. to not look at what is different to ignore the differences and to look at the similarities". The Third movies lesson is "Sometimes running away from the world to our own little world to cower away from people, to not ask for help, to live in a fantasy can end up becoming our own prison and the truth is so much harder to accept when you are forced to accept it" this can also be seen in the third movie with the flower castle of crystal that symbolises Molly's innocence and the sharp dangerous terrain that is formed on the outskirts of this place to ward off those who could help her in the end the flower of innocence dies as she is forced to accept the truth.

Callum Baurley I know all of them. But Pokémon still has a story nowadays and the movies still have meanings. The only reason people say the first ones were better is simply because nostalgia.
