Nice job, your picking attack is very good as far as getting the correct approach to Stevie's style, which was quite aggressive, nice tone and nice playing!

Hey man, I really think you should listen to his trio. Especially the Try album. It really shows off his Stevie Ray Vaughan/Hendrix playing. I guess I could’ve chosen a better video for the title, I’ll look for a better one today. Here’s the album: kzread.info/head/OLAK5uy_nTMKyvcidS_OeUCbmmWdTlZTM4sSKCSj8&si=PHgjDnqCXYF5-LiI

I wish I could appreciate his guitar work. Big Lenny Breau , Albert Lee, Danny Gatton, Brent Mason, Jeff Beck, Charlie Byrd and Hellecasters fan, Biggest BB King fan. Met BB about 50 years ago after an empty house in Toronto. Spoke with me one on one for 2 hours. Have no idea where his band went. No one interrupted us. Didn’t understand then by “it’s in the fingers” years later I get it, cannot do it! I still suck unfortunately. Albert Lee Will Ray Jerry Donahue (sadly is not well) and John Jorgenson are the nicest guys also!!! Respect to all.

Interestingly, he was gonna be a studio/session player until a producer noticed him, so that’s not 100% accurate. I think it’s more that his personal style wouldn’t be developed the way that it has to date.
