The Japanese plane that participated in World War II is the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, also known as the "Zeke" by Allied intelligence². They were designed by the famous aircraft designer Jiro Horikoshi. The aircraft was exceptionally fast and agile, allowing Japanese pilots to outperform older Allied aircraft, and had a long range suitable for the Pacific theater of operations².🇮🇶🌹🙏🇯🇵

What is that vapor coming out of the empenage?
@Voodoo1650Ай бұрын
That vapor you’re seeing is steam dumping overboard from the boil off oil cooling system. The team sealed off the oil cooler and carburetor intakes that are normally in the leading edge of the wing to cut down on drag. There is a custom oil cooler that is submerged in a tank of coolant inside the rear of the fuselage, the heat is then boiled off into steam and dumped out the back.

I wonder how the Bear would fly with one of those twisty C-130J props
@Voodoo16502 ай бұрын
I’ve often thought about that as well, and not just on the Bear. It would probably be a very good propeller, with very good results as long as they would be able to hold up to all the stress from engine vibrations etc. the C-130’s have smooth running turbines, and they probably don’t have to deal with all those stresses. Plus I think it would look cool as hell too.
